broooo, I'm finally understanding(getting it) what the MPC workflow is.. What a nice experience.. It makes you think differently. I like that. Instead of working in a linear fashion, I get to work with pattern by pattern building.. I like this way of working because I feel I'm using my imagination more.

I wanna get a X..... but damn my 5000 has 196 gb ram and a internal 150gb hard drive and a full synth! Damn! Decisions decisions lol
Never worked with a 5000 but it looks like a beast. if you are into synths inside the mpc then yeah I think the X or Live are a good purchase.
I might get one just cause lol. Never hurts to have two MPCs lol! Yeah the 5000 is a beast! Shit I might have a 500gb internal drive now I think about it. Never needed an external drive other than to back up. It had a complicated learning curve but I came from a 2000xl so it wasn’t so bad. Probably never sell it lol. But I do like the touchscreen and the led pads on the X lol
I find that all Akai users are very arrogant. Especially the MPCX users!!
I HAVE THE MPCX....
They copying Maschine and not half as much variety or modelling or easy workflow. My x and Maschine are for different rooms and vibes.
@Murada Pro tools copied Acid pro too but Acid pro is easier like Maschine is easier and way cheaper then my mpcx. Knowing and having all the gear to compare and see is key.
Now akai can u please let other plugins be able to be added

Some of the base synth snares sounded very boom bap but yeah waiting for the tutorial :D

Hi Marlow, I have a question for you about midi mapping. I do live set with MPC Live. Each sequence is a song. I try to integrate the new drum plug in multi mode. Which will give me more plug in available for bass and synth. Not using a track/plug in for kick, another one for snare... my problem, I cannot find for midimap the parameter which manage individual gain/volume for each 8 drum part. I have all the others parameters I want working perfectly. But not one dealing with individual volume. Do you have a solution? Is it a bug ? Thx for your help.
have you tried the mixer at the end of Multi? it has 8 channels for each of the 8 voices, you can lower the volume there, maybe you can assing the midi there.
@@mpchead Thx for your quick reply. That's exactly the 8 gains that I try to assign with Midimix. But I don't find the corresponding parameters in MPC midi learn. I find the master for the track, all the parameters for all the effects, mute, solo. But nothing for the 8 separate gain/volume.
@@dgebossa some parameters are not assignable, maybe those are not, Idk
@@mpchead Hum ok. hope it's not this. That will be weird to have a fantastic tools like this and not be able to use the multi in an optimum way for live cession.

I updated the the software to 2.9 on my pc just for the drum synth but I don't know where to go to open it up.
IS the 2.9 IS only for contrôler mode?my mpc stays on 2.8.1...

@@SH-ry2xi I was in the market for the TR8s last week and then they dropped this update. Basically I wanted a seperate drum machine with heaps of knobs and sliders for live jamming. The new update is amazing and I’m having heaps of fun playing with it so it definitely fulfilled my basic drum machine needs. However my mpc live definitely doesn’t have enough knobs and sliders to use it how I want it to work for editing on the go. Adding a midi controller is honestly an amazing idea.
Now please oh please make a video making a beat of yours with drums from the drum synth, as a tutorial on how to make this kind of drums with it.
