- I know, I know... I'm supposed to be working on and finishing up the Marlin build series instead of starting another one. Well unfortunately, I had a mishap experimenting with the Marlin cab and some hot boiling water... I'll talk about it more in my future Marlin videos. Also getting some Scale Metal Supplies goodness for it. In the meantime, I'm starting this build of another RC4WD rig that I've always wanted. The Gelande II D90. Only problem is, I love both the SUV and truck setup. I might have to get a second body for this. Also.... after googling how to pronounce "Gelande"... I'll pronounce it correctly in the future.

I got one of those! I build mine to look like the grasmere green heritage edition Hue166 version. And it looks sweet!👌😎👍have fun with yours! I put many upgraded parts to make it look correctly like the real one.

It's actually been sitting as a built chassis for a while now. I'm waiting for the body to be finished painting. I also need to work on the interior.

What paint does one usually buy to paint a hard body I like the grey it comes as but I think I want dark forest green
The best paint is probably something like Tamiya TS series paints for hard plastics as it sprays nice and lays down nicely. That being said, you can also just use Rustoleum or Krylon, etc. from your local hardware store. You might get some colors you like, but it'll be a lot harder to spray evenly as it doesn't spray as fine of a mist as Tamiya cans. Mine was painted with Krylon paint for the color, but it would've definitely been easier to paint with a Tamiya TS paint.

I painted Matte Ink Blue from Krylon Fusion. 🤙
