Hi im new to pc building and im about to build my b760 tomahawk wifi ddr4, do i need to download the latest bios in the support page which is currently "7D96v18" or just check if there will be any problem with current bios my motherboard will have? The MSI support service said only download it if there are abnormalities in my PC. can you give some advise if having the stock bios is better or the "7D96v18" is a must?
I recently built a pc with this Motherboard. Now I've been really busy after building it so I didn't notice. But today I saw that a red light is flashing under my GPU. Near the 1st M.2 slot. I immediately called the service center and they told me that its the signal for SSD running. But I am confused how I didn't notice it before. Can you please confirm does any such red light blink normally in that motherboard near the 1st M.2 slot?
You would think but if I remember correctly I had to update bios for it to work. Honestly though if you are ever going to update bios that would be the best time anyways so glad I did!
The MSI MAG B760 Tomahawk WiFi DDR4 Gaming Motherboard has multiple USB ports, including USB 2.0, USB 3.0, and USB 3.1 Gen 2. The exact number and type of USB ports can be found in the official product specifications or user manual provided by MSI. cnl
Great question! The MSI MAG B760 Tomahawk WiFi DDR4 Gaming Motherboard is designed to support 11th gen Intel processors out of the box. If you want to use a 13th gen Intel processor, you will likely need to update the BIOS to ensure compatibility. Motherboard manufacturers often release BIOS updates to add support for newer generations of processors. Before upgrading to a 13th gen Intel processor, make sure to visit MSI's website and check for the latest BIOS version specifically designed to support 13th gen CPUs. Follow the instructions carefully to update the BIOS, and then you should be good to go with your new processor! Always be cautious when updating the BIOS and follow the manufacturer's guidelines to avoid any potential issues. Happy gaming! cnl
Are you sure? 11th generation Intel uses a completely different socket (LGA1200 for 10th/11th generation vs LGA1700 for 12th/13th generation). B760 and Z790 are designed to be out of the box compatible with 13th generation since they are in the same product release cycle - it would be pretty bass ackwards to not do that.
