It's really not as bad as a lot of people say it is imo. The idea of exploring a wacky theme park as Crash is a very fun concept. My only issue is the racing itself. It feels like they slapped it on at the last minute so they could call it a racing game, when really, you spend more time platforming than actually racing. The racing doesn't even require much skill (seriously, just choose N. Gin and you're guaranteed to win) and severely lacks any kind of depth or learning curves, unlike CTR. Overall, it's a cool idea, but the execution feels rushed and confused. It's fun, but it could have been much better. In fact, it was originally supposed to be an open world/GTA style game like The Simpsons Hit & Run, which could have been awesome.
I remember playing this game like an idiot. When i was a kid, the time when i wouldn't read dialogue, try to understand what characters were saying or when i didn't know what missions meant because i didn't understand many words, i would just run around aimlessly in this game trying to find all the niche secrets, cut scenes and trying to get the objects that i had absolutely absolutely no idea how to get. I had much more fun in the 1st person running and exploring than the races themselves.

I used to glitch in there without even knowing it was a glitch by jumping repedeatly and grabing onto the ledge on the side so I would get in there early without playing the first world at all good times

This is my favourite PS2 game ever, it was SO fun! The mix of the adventure and exploring levels, with the added racing and the amazing mix of characters, it was so much fun and is severely underrated!

Also hearing the soundtracks again was the best thing EVER (especially that one that plays in happier ever faster) . Now its time to find all the other games I played as a kid.

I reckon if they were to remaster it, they should include actual boss fights. Like to be able to access gems, it’d make it a lot more interesting to introduce more characters to defeat (and then unlock maybe?) to continue the storyline.

I finally found a decent walkthrough of this game! I remember trying so hard to 100% it, but my copy of the game was bugged and no matter what, I couldn't unlock the Fight Like an Egyptian stage, so I was perma stuck on 99%
I'm hoping Nina, Von Clutch and Pasadena make it into CTR Nitro-Fueled, at least as DLC so we could bring every Crash racing game character together in the same game.

When I was first introduced to the PS2, I got Tag Team Racing 2005, Twinsanity 2004, and Nitro Kart 2003 all together 3 in 1 case I miss those games especially Tag Team and Twinsanity
