Anything that eats mosquitos has a friend in me.
Dr. Strangelove true
same here
exactly
lol same
I kill 50-100 larvae in a normal day. Aquascaping hobby.
It's crazy that the hydra are able to produce such beautiful music while monching on mosquito larvae
The die of mosquito is very harmonious things
Correct.
Keep sharing more brilliant insights
😂😂
I thought they only eat microorganisms but this is beating records of pythons and anaconda
They will also consume small fish (i.e.. vertebrates )
@@GrumblingGrognard show us!😱
@@GrumblingGrognardyour
not to mention these things don't really have a mouth, and when they need to eat, they *rip open a hole in their bodies to let the prey in* and just as easily close it back up again after it's done
that is metal as hell
Can you imagine what this would be able to do if it were ten feet long?
Octupus n squids
@@sd0372 octopus and squid can be killed easily. It can regain it's tentacles again and again. If you cut it half, it would regain its body🥴🥴
Self-healing kraken
That sounds terrifying tbh
@@sam_ir__7461 not to mention that each broken part would regrow into a hydra.
@@nahclassified284 yupp. That's why, a huge hydra is a threat to us
This is gruesome, interesting and weird at the same time
Can't believe a video can possess all three characteristics
0:42 "yum spaghetti"
"Arghh not spaghetti not spaghetti"
LOL.
Mosquito be like “spaghetti?”
2 seconds later: “def not spaghetti”
HAIL HYDRA !

i want hydra's to reproduce them and make traps for Mosquito's
Unless you live in water it wouldn't be the most reliable way to deal with mosquitos. The mosquito being eaten in this video, hence the title, is a larva. Mosquitos lay eggs in water. Hydras would be a reliable means of dealing with mosquito reproduction because they would eat the mosquito larva, but they aren't that great at attacking things that aren't in the water. You would be better off planting garlic around your house. Mosquitos and several other types of insects hate the smell of garlic. Also, garlic kills mosquitoes. If you don't want to put in the effort of growing your own garlic, you can also spray garlic water around your house every day.
@@MegaJessemanbro you could’ve edited it
Hydra - an aquatic creature is the only living creature that never die. It regenerates, replacing its cells with fresh ones.
otras especies invertebradas hacen lo mismo
Planarias também não morrem.
so efficient and punches way above its weight class.
Where has this channel been all my life?
I thought hydras were a mythical creature so I’m so interested
Just an FYI, there was in fact a mythical creature called a hydra. If one of its heads was cut off, two would grow in its place. The actual animal hydra can regenerate any part that it loses!
Good choice of music especially in capture and injestion👍
Are they poisonous? Its prey seem to die upon just the touch of its arms. That thing is Krazy
They have these cells along that body which inject venom into their prey too kill em
this was really amazing.thank you
amazing clear footage and I agree with Dr. Strangelove
The cinematography is so intense lol
They eat mosquitos? Now I want them as pets... You don't even have to feed them... just put the tank outside and leave the top open
there super hard to get rid of and reproduce really fast.
Even better
When the mosquitoes try to murder them they’ll come back
People ask "What type of pet do you have"
You - "A hydra"
Worth noting while mosquitos can stand extremely high rates of water toxicity...hydra cannot. Support clean water legislation, not the corporations.
So basically a tiny squid
That music scared the sh*t out of me more than anything else
Hydra gets nerf too much. It needed a buff
Nah hydra is too op for mm
Now say again that aliens doesn't exist 😂
Hydra is like a mosquito fly trap
That was great to watch. Thanks
That music was awesome.
hydra is emotional eating to forget
Music and vision are so good
Oh thank god one less mosquito in the world
Super!!! Thanks for sharing it
It's so gruesome and so cool. It made me itch.
how does it digest ? does it have any digestive juices or enzymes
pranav pudke Yes they have digestive juices in a gastro vascular cavity
There are glandular cells and flagellated musculo epithelial cells present in their endodermis layer. The glandular cells secrete proteolytic enzymes and the flagellated ones, along with the contraction of the body cavity, helps in the circulation of the food and thus helps in mechanical digestion.
@@sabakhan-qc9di Very informative Ty! 😊

Yes
Wow. Amazing
Thanks for the video
Scary as hell, but at least it eats mosquitoes, so it's a friend.
Can you imagine one of these but about fifteen feet long?
If it was, everything would be on its menu.
After they eat people alive from the inside
Imagine you are swimming and the hydra is 2 miter in length
UNDERRATED CHANNEL
Yesterday i learnt about Cnidaria. this is why im here. Yummy hydra.
hydra was so beautiful and can't thought it can eat a whole mosquito larva
god, imagine if squids were highly aggressive predators with barbed spears that launched from their tentacles.
We need more of these little critters.
Who else thinks the mosquito 🦟 larva’s looking bigger in the starting ?
The background effects are really scary
But really ist it
I wonder what will happen if Hydra got to be 1-2 meters tall.
Little Shop of Horror! 🤣
This Is gonna give me nightmares for the rest of my life
Very nice
Amazing vid!
That insect is larger then the hydra
Excellent
Looks like we need more hydras in the water.
it has to rip open a mouth everytime it eats and when it's done digesting the food, it has to tear an asshole in the place where the ripped mouth was to excrete, that's metal
But it didn't use it's nematosist, did it?
good boi *pat* *pat*
It's like a micro sea anenome
