+upton parka In the USA we have some tractors that are 2 times as wide as the one in your video. Just the tires take up one full lane. And they go just as far to find a second field.
Very nice to see a driver who is kind and respectful. I really don't understand why so many other drivers get so pissed off and abusive over the littlest things, or things which just cannot be helped.
Wow I have new found respect for you BIG boy drivers. I often get stuck behind some BIG boys while on holiday in central Norfolk and if I do Well that's the FUN of being on holiday. all the country traffic, smells, and noise. It was great to see your perspective for a change, and some of the roads I have traveled. Happy and safe driving George.
hi george loved watching this one as you drove through the village and past the farm where i was bought up so brought back some nice memories for me you sure get around
These are the exciting and adventurous things in driving such massive machinery around the country. At the same time, I find it difficult to explain to an unknowing person, as it's an uncomfortable situation for many car drivers to be in. I guess you can only love it when you master it! Not to mention the acoustics at your workplace - brilliant ;D
You either like it, or you don't. I did it for years and it wasn't on account of being a big earner. I do tend to acknowledge the drivers when they pull over tho not the ones that don't bother pulling into passing places, even with 30 or 40 cars behind them. Then they get the finger cos they give 'tractoristas' a bad name. Cromer, eh? I'm in Norwich now, after living in Oz for 14 years. George, you have been there haven't you, if in fact you're not an Aussie. Nice vid, been wondering what the Fastracs are like.
Recently, I saw a van give a reversing lorry a good 30 metres of space. No point in pulling up to his bumper - no time saved, the lorry might hit you in his blind corner and if he needs to pull up again, you're both stuck. Thought by myself, such forward-thinking people have become rare. But it gets better the further you get out in the country :)
16:56 Worst place to stop. Ever. She spots the tractor with its massive wheels, so she stops parallel a telegraph pole. About 15 yards behind her is a passing place. And about 50 yards in front is another wide spot. But no. She stops beside the pole. Slow. Claps. Bra. Vo.
Probably got mad because usually he is the one making other vehicles (cars) go back up, and now he found himself forced to back up by a "farmer peasant", and not some highly respected international articulated truck driver. I bet he bullied his way out of that road on every car he crossed on his path.
I lived in Mundesley about 40 years ago. The cars were narrower then but I remember how plenty of reversing and shuffling around was so often needed so two cars could pass each other.
I traveled through such roads in 1998, if I'd had come across a vehicle as big as yours coming the other way, I'd pray you were the driver. As some who does lawns and garden work for a living. Wow there is a lot money in those hedges.
Really well driven and totally respectful Far better than a certain big farm near Norwich airport. Well 1 of their tractor drivers around Norwch! The rest of them are brilliant
Ooohh ! 7310 (Tractor driver porn ??) Just joking - what a lot of respect shown all over (apart from the tree / bush that attacked your mirror). I was surprised just how restricted your vision to the near-front is.
A perfect example of how to ‘handle’ a tractor in country lanes!! But, my goodness - that tractor is HUGE, by comparison with anything I’ve ever handled!
An interesting ride along on the narrow twisty roads of the U.K. That irate trucker missed a few spots to pull over. We have it easy here with mostly wide and straight roads. Most of the time I will pull over and stop the tractor when meeting trucks on a narrow road. Easier for me than for the trucks.
I've done some contract work for the irate truck drivers company. I refer to them as FH BLUNDER. I suspect their loading is what angered him and the tractor driver was an opportunity to vent.
del kershaw Do you actually know what that word means? You're accusing me of being a child sex offender because I'm questioning why you spent 25 minutes watching a video you believed to be boring when you could see from the beginning, or if you skipped through it, what it was going to be.
A troll is someone who comments on another person's video just to say it's boring. So you didn't like it, move on and watch something else. If you're sensitive and don't want to be made fun of, don't post silly comments.
Stupid question that may show the american hick in me here, but when the truck driver was backing up, there looked to be a little old lady standing at the end of her drive, why did he not quick roll down the window and ask if she minded him backing in the other drive to let you through?
George Saunders We see a lot of that up here - my biggest problem is the 4x4 drivers from the town who drive towards you with there eyes peering thru slits - maybe shutting your eyes makes the gap wider lol- and quite a few lorry drivers are a bit of practice with reversing- stops the "I cant turn that in here " warcry lol
G'day George Saunders I drive cattle in my truck places and because the cattle can move around you have to be very careful on round abouts and no sudden braking so to avoid this anywhere where its other than reasonable straitish road with good visability you have to go slow and people get really pissed off about it. I wonder when they go out for dinner and order a steak if they think how it got from the farm to the table.
as an hgv driver I never understood the puddle jumpers[7.5 tonne] problem,he could have pulled into a couple of spaces but chose to vitually reverse back through the village
The rigid flat bed driver made an arse of his reverse. You got the blame for him being a muppet m8. Gotta admire you for thanking him, despite his hissy fit.
Extrapolating from subscribing to, and enjoying a particular video is stretching it a bit, don't you think. I pay a licence fee and watch BBC from time to time but that doesn't mean I like celebrities dancing on ice or in the jungle, and I don't and never watch them.
What makes me laugh, not so many years ago, getting stuck behind a tractor was a real drag, as they were extremely slow, where as most of the new tractors now have road gears, so can pick up some good speed. I loved working on the farm when I was younger, so always make way for tractors and to the annoyance of others let them out, especially when the roads busy.
21:57 Why didn't the daft bugger in the truck pull over to the right in the little passing space? They don't like it when they're the ones who have to back up. Mardy bastards.
Yep. One thing ive learnt whilst carting wheat in around Harlow area is that there is no respect or understanding of agriculture in Essex. Urban fringe life!
The joys of British country lanes always keep you on your toes lol. nice drive that George. ps purple wheelie bins thats some thing new we dont have them here in Cheshire?.
I don't think the lorry driver got into a mood, it just looks like he misjudged the corner and got onto the wrong side, he came forward so as to get back onto his side.
Amazing that the lorry driver always expects cars and vans to reverse for him but when the boot's on the other foot he throws his rattle out of the pram.
I know its not the case here, and the truck could get out of the way, but a year or two back our 44 tonne artic with fully loaded 45' tri-axle trailer pulled onto a verge for a tractor with trailer load of bales - and sank in until the front axle was on the ground. The tractor had driven past a spot where they could have passed easily without stopping, then refused to back up. (it was a drawbar trailer!) We had to take two big tractors to pull the Stralis out. After that I told the driver to let the tractor do the avoiding. Also, its very frustrating to be driving a 540hp 16 speed fully automatic truck behind a tractor and have to slow down every time you come to a hill that the truck wouldn't notice was there. Just a comment - not a whinge. I can see both sides of the argument having driven trucks and tractors all my life. John.
Manorfarmdenton The best rule of thumb is the smaller of the two vehicles gives way, considering i also drive artics i get to see both sides of the argument, at the end of the day we are all just trying to get a job done:)
Haven't British road authorities realise yet that 21st century vehicles are a bit bigger than horse and cart , so need a wider road ? Even the main road has hedges so close to the bitumen that two trucks can't pass . I wonder what the crash rate is on these roads?
Thanks! When I saw Cromer I thought it meant in Norfolk, but there's a Cromer on the way to Buntingford. I think that would be a looong journey on your vehicle.

Zeyr0 The road as that small because peopl own the land eitherside. In the UK the majority of the land is owned by the monarchy, the church or the landed gentry. It is not like the US where land was taken from the Natives and towns and cities could be planned from scratch, the UK has evolved over time. Also England [not UK] is very crowded to put this into context, France would have to increase its population by 162.3 million to achieve the same population density.
It never ceases to amaze me how far a tractor will go to find a field to plough..;-)
+upton parka :)
lol

+Andrew Murphy (MegaMouse) Blimey ,for a second i thought it was Audie Murphy calling.
+Andrew Murphy (MegaMouse) there are tractor like that in the uk but we don't have as big fields so there just a waste of money.
Very nice to see a driver who is kind and respectful. I really don't understand why so many other drivers get so pissed off and abusive over the littlest things, or things which just cannot be helped.

Thanks for posting this. Really useful as a car driver to see things from your perspective and will certainly bear this in mind when in rural areas.
I feel like I've done a days work after watching this!
Its a well know fact that in the country side everyone has to give way to Mr Tractor
hi george loved watching this one as you drove through the village and past the farm where i was bought up so brought back some nice memories for me you sure get around
You must feel invincible following a vehicle like this through the hedgeroads :)

british back roads are very nice and lush. the horse buggy roads adds to the charm.
Probably got mad because usually he is the one making other vehicles (cars) go back up, and now he found himself forced to back up by a "farmer peasant", and not some highly respected international articulated truck driver.
I bet he bullied his way out of that road on every car he crossed on his path.
And its probably like this on every outing, a new respect for tractor drivers
your spacial awareness is spot on and that fastrac sounds the bullocks. Proper thrashy driver
Me and the misses found this video strangely relaxing and theraputic to watch. Cheers

Far better than a certain big farm near Norwich airport. Well 1 of their tractor drivers around Norwch! The rest of them are brilliant
hi I live near Norwich well thetford where is that farm in Norwich
People sometimes forget that a lot of these smal roads are the only way a farmer can get to his field.
My god, that looks fun. If I ever win the lottery, I'm becoming a farmer as a hobby. You know, without the stress of having to be good at it.
love farmers. way under appreciated. keep us fed. work hard, keep smiling.
Nice bit of driving, shame about the knob in the truck, I'm always reversing for tractors unless I have a trailer on then its biggest vehicle wins lol
You think you got away with it, don't you? But I saw you........ eyeing up the 'Old Deere's' in the village @ 15:43. You naughty farmer.
I seen I'm as well
Ooohh ! 7310 (Tractor driver porn ??) Just joking - what a lot of respect shown all over (apart from the tree / bush that attacked your mirror). I was surprised just how restricted your vision to the near-front is.
Sewing his oats. lol
Deere, oh, Deere.
@@timmason7430 No surprise, I think he's an arable farmer.
One thing you get used to when regularly driving a small car in country lanes is one handed over the shoulder reversing
A perfect example of how to ‘handle’ a tractor in country lanes!! But, my goodness - that tractor is HUGE, by comparison with anything I’ve ever handled!
A great tour of the Norfolk countryside. Just need Matt Munrow singing the theme to The Italian job.
dont you just love it when motorists are actually able to reverse the car they are driving .

That's some good driving, a right miserable sod of a lorry driver. He could of reversed into at least two laybys I saw...
as an hgv driver I never understood the puddle jumpers[7.5 tonne] problem,he could have pulled into a couple of spaces but chose to vitually reverse back through the village
I know Barry, he made things difficult for himself for no reason.
Know that road pretty well! Especially the back road to Cromer
Can be fun meeting the school buses though with an artic
The rigid flat bed driver made an arse of his reverse. You got the blame for him being a muppet m8. Gotta admire you for thanking him, despite his hissy fit.
Amazing the vehicles Deliveroo use these days.
You would have to be really into tractor driving to watch this all the way through, I mean really really into tractor driving.
And???
Gareth Tatler well 44 k people are!
Why do you say 44 thousand people are? My counter only says 928 people.
44k enjoy tractor vids couse there subscribed 😑
Extrapolating from subscribing to, and enjoying a particular video is stretching it a bit, don't you think. I pay a licence fee and watch BBC from time to time but that doesn't mean I like celebrities dancing on ice or in the jungle, and I don't and never watch them.
Thank you, I found most of this video rather relaxing.
you seemed so happy and relaxed in you big yellow tractor
What a lovely looking area
tories only I'm afraid. KEEP OUT!

Nice regular use of mirrors. Fastracs are fun, except the new rear wheel steer. Feels all wobbly like it's about to break away.
How have I ended up here?
Thats what pisses me off about car drivers stopping right in the middle of the road and not bothering to do anything!
Gupham Oh yes! makes life interesting for us on the road!
Yea
Why the hell did I watch this , strangely enjoyable
21:57 Why didn't the daft bugger in the truck pull over to the right in the little passing space? They don't like it when they're the ones who have to back up. Mardy bastards.
Thanks for the ride, where you been ? out on a jolly boys outing ? lol
onyourbikeuoldfart Just out for a nice little drive:)
Is that flat bed lgv thick he had loads of places to pull in instead of going back that far
I see the truck driver frustration though, reversing that thing all that way back would have been a nightmare.
Yep. One thing ive learnt whilst carting wheat in around Harlow area is that there is no respect or understanding of agriculture in Essex. Urban fringe life!
Great video! Quality driving and a fine machine mate, subbed!
Steve Woolski Quality driving? .... One hand on the steering wheel & one hand holding and filming with a camera. Sheesh!
IdleAl No, he has a head band for his gopro.
+macnutpro13 I can't believe it, people must think he's holding a camera up at his head
those fastracks are awesome, ps i think they need to put reversing back on the driving tests haha
Another cold tractor film. This cold tractor was going quite surprisingly fast and couldn't understand why so many cars were keen to overtake it
Enjoyed the ride, thanks George
Do you have air conditioning in your tractor's cab Mr Saunders? Indeed, do any tractors have AC in their cabs? Good video.
All our John Deere's have AC so I guess the JCB does as well
The joys of British country lanes always keep you on your toes lol.
nice drive that George.
ps
purple wheelie bins thats some thing new we dont have them here in Cheshire?.
great video i guess the lorry drive was used to being bigger that everyone until you came along haha
***** Yes i spoilt his day!
A Wise Young Man seems to lack logic. Let's see, 16.5m lorry reversing on a road to let a 4.5m car pass. Yes, that makes a heck of a lot of sense.
TheSpaceHerpe
10ft wide baler
Bale collector
And the fact his JCB is bigger and longer than the truck, the truck should've moved out of the way!!
I know its not the case here, and the truck could get out of the way, but a year or two back our 44 tonne artic with fully loaded 45' tri-axle trailer pulled onto a verge for a tractor with trailer load of bales - and sank in until the front axle was on the ground. Lol ace comments toward the end. Nice vehicle aswell.
***** Haha thankyou.
Hey Mr. Saunders, Im wondering what area or part of the UK your in?
Harry Hov that's baldock in Hertfordshire I believe
I like it because one gets to see the English countryside and houses.
Great Driving George, Respect.
Is this Baldock? Looks like the cross roads.
Darren Boss Yes mate, well spotted
Thanks! When I saw Cromer I thought it meant in Norfolk, but there's a Cromer on the way to Buntingford. I think that would be a looong journey on your vehicle.
Do I sense this tractor has some sort of Allison gearbox ?? Pretty fast too ! Great video mate
Glad I'm not the only one with these problems on the road lol.
ajsnorfolk Haha, Your not alone!!
so which part of Norfolk is Baldock in then, exactly?
I like how you passed an 'unsuitable for HGVs sign' at 11:05
Not an hgv is it
Blimey how far were you working away from your base, seemed to be driving the tractor for ages
you guys from ashwell or surrounding? I was kinda excited when I realised I recognised baldock!
I thought tractors were prohibited on roads unless within a mile of their home farm? Mind you, at the price of red diesel, I suppose its cheaper then using the car.
+Dennysmock why would you think that??? that makes it completely useless on a farm vehicle...
George are you driving the JCB fastrac? Good machine 310hp and a top speed of 40+ as for the box on the front is it weight or a toolbox 🚜🚜🚜
hi is that a New Holland Baler I see that your pulling? or not :-)
Tom Forrest Yes Tom, a BB950a :)
Ok nice ☺
that truck comes from Rainham in Essex so prob not used to seeing tractors and narrow roads, no excuse though still a knob
George do you have a po box or something like that because I was wondering if I could send you my new model fasttrac 3230 as you own one I thought it would be cool for you to have a small one
What are you towing? Looks like a baler.
Small world... My Father has just passed away & left me a small plot of land at Sandon....
ajadrew Sorry to hear that, what do you plan to do with the land?
It has to be sold....
Looks like Baldock, Hertfordshire at the beginning of the video.
Good Video! :)
Love the Fastrac mate
Nice vid mate them traffic lights in Baldock are a pain in the ass u can sit there all day sum times
Carl Rummey They take forever especially during rush hour!
Great video George! Nice ride.
Hans van het Goor Thank you Hans :)
That's not Cromer, it's Baldock in Bedfordshire
The country lanes are around Cromer village/hamlet? in Herts, but yes the first town is Baldock (Herts!)
your right Andrew they are the back roads from Baldock through Cromer and a little hamlet called Ardeley the yard he turns into at end is called more green i know it very well was bought up in that area of Hertfordshire
Great video George!
Connor29 Cheers Connor:)
crazy roads for how much traffic. Guess we are spoiled here ;)
lue1975lue Our little roads can be a right pain!
In other countries they have tunnels through mountains, but in England they have tunnels through trees. Wouldnt it have been alot easier to drive whithout the trees, bushes and hedges besides/in the road?

The claas lexion you pass is that yours
0:19 Your vehicle is carrying 100 times more computer power than NASA had in 1965. What do you do with that thing, fly people to Mars?
Great vid George just wondering how fast will that fast track go?
Andres Martinez Cheers Andres,it will do 43mph/70kmh
What tractor are you driving
Cause it looks like a challenger
+Ryan Davis didn't know dodge made tractors
Challenger is a brand of tractor.
which fastrac do you drive im driving a 8250
Julian Grosskopf My tractor is a 3230, how do you like you 8250?
I love the 8250 its soo cool to drive this wonderful tractor
Julian Grosskopf They are a beast of a machine!!
Where is this at?
Joseph .C Near Baldock, Hertforshire.
George Saunders oh it looks nice
Great video! But that lorry driver had about 7 chances to pull into somewhere before he did and besides vehicle with biggest wheels has right of way!
Jamie Stirzaker Cheers Jamie, I know he just kept reversing getting more and more irate!
I still don't understand why they put those huge hedges on either side of the roads instead of fences. It would easily save up to 3 feet on each side of the roads, for a total of 6, that's an entire line..

Hedges are there for a reason but at the same time idk why we make roads this small.

Never knew a tractor could drive so fast.
Well it is. fastrac
