I love how she says he has such a nice sound. Kai may not be the strongest singer in EXO but I prefer his sound. All his albums are non-skips for me and comfortable to listen to. Also, like how she pointed out he's mixing isolations, contemporary and ballet in the ICU performance. Zin has such a cool vibe more reactions from her please!
For the setting of icu, it's actually related to the vcr that was played just before his entery during exoplanet#4, in the vcr he enters throught the door and he comes out from the stage door, and for his outfit he actually performed with different outfits during the tour like a black silky shirt and tight white one that marked his body lines, actually the icu performance from his online concert had a different set that was haunting and went well with song
Yes the icu performance in his solo concert was much more haunting, in the part where he puts his hands in front of his face so you couldn't see his face and then he took his hands away and gave a scary stare, God that sudden look of his scared the living hell out of me😂
No one does it like Kai 😌 You can show her his performance to his other songs on KpopFlex or WaterBomb. "To Be Honest", "Vanilla", "Peaches", "Reason", "Mmmh"...
Kai's vocal tone is sensual, it's layered often in EXO to add sexiness. SM Entertainment has a lot of music and footage we will never see. Kai being a perfectionist there should be a dance routine for each track. Even outtakes could make a full MV. When she's talking about the set design, TAEMIN 태민 'Press Your Number' Performance Video Ver.2 came to mind. The concept works live, a haunting feel in a mansion/industrial is a added visual. Great reaction and insight.
Yes, Kai performed all the songs in his album at his concert with full choreography.

The ICU video is actually more like a dance rehearsal for his solo stage for the EXO concert and it is set on the concert stage. The actual performance has more dramatic lighting and he usually wears more tight fitting clothes. These performances comes right after the VCR shown in the concert that is related to their storyline. In that VCR, Kai is using his power of opening doors/portals to other worlds or locations to search for his members who are scattered everywhere, hence the doors represented behind him. At the end of that VCR, he opens a door and he comes out of one of the doors behind him for his performance. I like that the title of the song is ICU or I See You, because in the next VCRs shown, he succeeds in locating his members. As he opens doors to different locations, he sees a member and pulls them out one by one.

I'm so happy how many people have come out to talk about kai's voice and are appreciating it. because they always made fun of the phrase who would sing and after her debut they were plop. they always compare him to other vocalists. Kai has such a nice, unique and addictive vocal color. as someone said he does not need a strong or high vocal range to give goosebumps or captivate. SM only centered him as a dancer. Now kai is my favorite kpop vocalist, he is so talented and versatile. His albums are my favorites and they don't stop playing in my house. Thanks and greetings from Chile.
he actually does have a good vocal range. his falsetto has always been great. he's just not a belter which is fine with me because it means he's never having to force it like some singers do

ICU was made to fit in with EXO's concept as seen in their concert. The doors belong to the endless corridors of doors that allow him to teleport. At this moment, he is supposed to be lost and confused, trying to regain his teleportation power. The concert lighting is amazing, it is as much part of the dance as the choreography. Kai has a lot of influence on his choreography and style. He likes to create clean lines when dancing, something that goes into his ideas for style, but in the case of ICU, everything reflects the point in the concept that the song is meant for.

Zin!! "ICU" girl I love how versatile Kai is with his dancing and his vocals are so underrated when he sings with EXO but when he's solo you can see him shine more. I kinda agree with Zin about seeing tassels on his clothes so you see the fluidity of the dance movement stand out more. Micah can you react to Jhope's dancing Boy vs Evil or any other stuff of his please. Thanks

U can imagine her reacting like that when she watched first the KAI FILM. haha! The icu vid isn't even the MV thats why it doesnt have that great quality. And i would expect her talking a lot about Kai's dance since the title is pro dancer not director. Just a thought 💃
Being a dancer doesn't mean you care only about dancing. Being a dancer means you are a performer, and all the things she was mentioning, are important aspects of any dance performance. You can't separate them out. People can't control what they react to or what draws their attention. The different settings and outfits on Kai in the Film really appealed to her, so I think that extended into ICU a bit. And reactors don't have the full story behind the people they are reacting to or the performances, so cut her some slack.
