- Hey everyone! It's a ballad between cancelled Eurovision Song Contest 2020 and coming Eurovision 2021 in Rotterdam. But it's no a full battle, but only between returning artists that was supposed to participate last year bu were confirmed to this year because of the cancellation due to pandemic. So, how many of them are improved comparing to the last year? and how may got worse? Let's see! Don't forget, it's only my opinion!

Some of the artists really improved, but I really feel bad for The Roop, Victoria and Daði and Gagnamagnið bc they all had a big change to win, and I don’t think they have this year. Gjon made two masterpieces in a row.
These artists did almost the same thing as last year, and of course, euro fans are not that impressed, they’ve already seen this last year. But actual Eurovision public haven’t! So, we’ll see

Georgia & Netherlands are victims of "from good to bad" song entries. Switzerland and Lithuania have bring us joy with great creations from 2020 to 21. I mean I can't choose which one was better, both are equally strong

Last year Gjon was my winner and repondez moi was my all time fave song and i was really scared of what he will bring this year and he did nit disappoint me at all. I love tout l’universe sooo much. For me it is as good as repondez moi and even better. My top 2 all time is

It’s about time Iceland had its first win ! They’ve entered 32 times since 1986 and got to the final 25 of them, coming second in 1999 and again 10 years later in 2009
Iceland for me is by far the most underrated country in Eurovision. They were seriously robbed in 1999, 2007, 2012, 2019, 2004, 2010, 2000, 2016, 2003, 2005 BUT if they win this year with one of their most mediocre entries ever, I 'll be furious!!
@Pew-series unfortunately , that song is not doing it for me. On the contrary, I really enjoyed his 40' concert of Eurovision remixes, they were all amazing, he's a great artist! If only this song made justice to his talent...
Iceland is Too small to host it, they dont have the facilities, since they have less than 0.4M people. They cant win

On Fire was a very cool song, with an addictive dance, a really cool instrumental.
Discoteque is too heavy for me, not in the lightness of the 2020 song. It's just less fun.
The group is awesome, the singer amazing, but I don't like the song from 2021 at all ...
I was really disappointed with The Roop's song this year ... But I don't hate the song either, it's just really not my style ...

Man, lack and excess of taste do not exist because music taste and Eurovision taste are clearly subjective, there're no "right" of "wrong" opinions about any songs. Just everyone has their own opinion. These scores just show how much I like the songs. Hooverphonic produces absolutely not my kind of songs and lyrics, too dark and depressive without any objective reason, I appreciate their work, but it's maximum 5-6 out of 10 for me. Azerbaijan is an ethnic bop, I like such stuff and can't find any huge flaw, so it's 8-9 out of 10 for me. Easy)

These scores are subjective, there's no "good" or "bad" opinion in music lol) Latvia 2020 is so energetic, empowering, there's so much going on that I just can do nothing but give it 10/10. Some other songs are more safe/boring that I give them lower scores. You probably like ballads and safe pop songs and dislike some risky songs, ok, it's your opinion, mine is opposite)

You’d think that with all these Eurovision fans liking songs in many different languages, they’d have a better grip on the English language but not from what I read here ! Almost everyone makes mistakes by adding words, missing words, using the wrong tense, spelling words wrong and contradicting themselves !
I’m a fan too but rarely make obvious errors, possibly because I check what I put down before submitting it.
Can you really blame non-native speakers for not speaking perfect English, though? It is already a lot that people "bother" to learn a completely new language and I find it impressive that everyone is able to communicate with people using a tongue that they didn't grow up with.
