Hi everyone! I continue uploading some of my tops of the national finals for Eurovision 2025. As usual this year, I do it in case there're semi finals, so I can watch the live performances of the qualifiers and have my opinion about the final based on them. Spain with Benidorm Fest was first, now it's Latvia turn. They also had one semi final and will be having a final with 10 acts from it next...

Hi everyone! I've already made iconic moment videos for Montesong, Festivali i Kenges & Moldova auditions. We've got another national final happened so far - Luxembourg Song Contest 2025, so I decided to make such a video for it too, while we don't have than many NFs to follow just yet (literally some days left). It has multiple languages, some funny/awkward moments (intentional or not), so it'...

Hi everyone! It's been an emotional rollercoaster in the Eurovision 2025 world over just a week. Moldova announced their participation too late, the list of participants of the auditions was too late too, the songs weren't released before all at once... But the main thing, these auditions, the most iconic show of the year, actually took place, with all the expected iconicness, no one was disapp...

Hi everyone! The Eurovision 2025 National Final season slowly approaching its peak. In between my compilations of iconic moments of some NFs, I'm gonna also make some tops, of the ones I really like. As you've guessed, Moldova is definitely one of them. Precisely, I really like the auditions, the national final itself fter them is usually not that exciting. Hi everyone. I'm continuing my series of compilations of memorable moments of the national finals this year. So far we had only 2 of them: Montesong 2024 and FiK (Festivali i Kenges 63 or just Fest 63), I've already made the video about Montesong a long time ago, so it's time for Albanian festival. As always, there's something to focus on there too, not as many things as at Montesong but still....

    My Personal Ranking with my thoughts as well: 37: Albania: The 2nd ultimate example on how NOT to revamp a song after Czechia 2020's 1st revamp. IMO, the only bad song this year 36: Moldova: Just a very meh pop song that was kind of a sleeper which is BAD in a ESC this strong 35: Iceland: Another not bad but boring entry 34: Israel: Only taking the song into count. It's a song 33: Malta: IMO, the most forgettable song this year 32: Azerbaijan: I liked the 2nd guy's vocal and that the song was in Azerbaijani but the song itself was very bland and was disappointing to see from Azerbaijan 31: Poland: Another what happened with the live performance here, I thought this was a really good song from Poland but the live performance was just no 30: Belgium: Could've been a pretty good middle of the scoreboard final entry, but then that live performance came and WTF 29: Germany: I will never understand why this got 12th, I thought this was going to be last again but no? Why Europe? 28: Slovenia: I thought it had some good vocals but it's another ballad that just didn't stick with me 27: Australia: IDK why I thought this would qualify looking at the song now, but I do like the digeridoo guy, he's fun 26: Cyprus: As the opening song, I thought it was Cyprus sticking to what they know and I kind of worked, sort of, still pretty unmemorable 25: Denmark: While not amazing and just a song made to give to singers for the context with no real substance, still better than I am what I am 24: Luxembourg: Welcome back Luxembourg, great to see you back, as for the song, it's another pretty good pop song 23: United Kingdom: As a British person, while I was shocked this got 0 points, I thought this was a very middle of the road UK entry, not terrible but not good 22: Sweden: The staging was really well done and I thought it was a bop, but it suffers from being just another typical Melodifestivalen song you see every year on there 21: San Marino: Hearing this song in the studio, this song is a banger, but the live performance just did not work, feel bad too, could've done well for San Marino 20: Serbia: It was a great sense of hope in its lyrics but other than that it's just a pretty good ballad 19: Portugal: I thought it was a good performance and had good vocals but it didn't really stick with me as others did 18: Italy: This song is so good... but the staging is WAY too much 17: Latvia: This was such a grower for me, at first I thought this would be dead last since it seemed like just another generic radio song, but after being blindsided by seeing it qualify, I've ended up really liking it the more I heard it 16: Lithuania: This was IMO such a bop 15: Greece: I still hear DA DA DA DA in my head every now and again but what is with the TikTok overlay at the start of the performance!? 14: Georgia: Super powerful, amazing vocals and thankfully, THIS time Georgia wasn't robbed 13: Estonia: At first this song didn't work for me, but then I learned the lyrics, and holy crap, knowing the context makes this song so much more epic 12: Czechia: Albania take notes, this is how you revamp a song! Funny how you go from a terrible revamp in 2020 to a great revamp this year Czechia 11: Spain: Great message, great performance 10: Austria: I don't know why I like this song so much. I might just be old fashioned with my pop taste 9: Finland: Come on, this song is the definition of fun 8: Ukraine: Congrats on almost beating the song 2 curse Ukraine, I actually think the entire song is great, and IMO had the 2nd best vocals that night 7: Armenia: This! Is how you bring culture to ESC, I don't think a song has made me want to dance this year, more than this one 6: France: Beautiful is all I can say 5: The Netherlands: Funny how the disqualifier of this year is possibly the most Eurovision song of all time 4: Croatia: When I saw this was the favourite, I was intrigued, I saw the semi performance I thought it was a pretty good rock song. But that final performance was peak 3: Norway: Why! Did this song get last, I thought this was going to be the winner for a while 2: Ireland: This is my inner goth style fan coming out, this song was perfectly performed in the final and is now my favourite song from Ireland beating Rock and Roll Kids 1: Switzerland: This song did everything right, amazing staging, amazing vocals, a great story in its lyrics, this song was one of the most deserving winners we've seen

      Yeah, that's the problem. All the songs are so close to each other for me, so someone had to be lower. Albania... I can realize all its strong sides theoretically... But as an overall impression, it's just ok for me, not outstanding enough.

  • @escserg6731

    As I said in the intro, I don't see my winner in these songs... But at the same time, nothing is weak for me either, at all. Every single entry has something that makes it above average as an Eurovision entry for me. So, if was hard for me to rank them now. Let's just go through some songs that other fans are not really into: - Slovenia. Yeah, here eurofandom showed its darkest side. They rooted for one of the weakest typical girlbops here and when it didn't win... Yeah, you know, as usual: wished him NQ, said it's all about his fame, the song is boring... No guys, this is one of the most sincere entries of recent years. The fact that he deliberately decided to participate with this one, not with some parody song in which he's so good at says it all. It's a serious story and I like how literal it is, you really pay attention to the lyrics in a native language here. Fans saying they don't like the lyrics for this literalless, that they're uncomfortable with them, he had to rewrite them in a different way... Yeah, no words. Just a fandom of mostly people from 0 to 23 years old. It's literally his story, not some kind of manufactured pop entry, how the hell should he have written it in a different way? 😡 No words. Wider audience will either feel it or not, he might or might no qualify... But we can't deny it's a blood quality entry that totally deserves to be in the Eurovision lineup. - Ireland. I just had to rank it lower because it's objectively not strong & outstanding enough entry... But still, it's catchy, lighthearted, naive, overly positive, childish and with a unique topic. Like really, we've never had ESC entries with this theme yet. And it totally fits her personality, just look at her. So yeah, that's the redeeming qualities. - Luxembourg. Again, the song is catchy, uplifting, interesting, different enough, with an interesting topic and perspective, making reference to another Luxembourgish entry from 60 years ago... Just to clarify with both Ireland and Luxembourg - I don't have issues with them being juvenile, with adults acting like children. Moreover, I'm kinda into that, I'm almost like that myself, growing up is getting old and a society scam. - Montenegro. I didn't wanna put it last... But this song got me the longest time to get it, very slow developing, unclear topic, not ideal staging yet. And still, it's a Balkan ballad (we don't have many of them anymore) sang really well, so again, it has something, definitely above average. - Spain. Yeah, it's one of the weakest girlbops this year... But oh well, how hard Melody tries to make it stand out! That over the top staging, throne, helicopter hair, her unreal desire and enthusiasm for the whole world and to be at Eurovision... The performed really saves it from being just average. At the same time, some people talk about Erika Vikman's winner potential... No, not yet for me. I guess she was afraid of being too sexual and etc for average UMK public, so the performance felt really safe. I hope she brings something more interesting to ESC, I'm even sure she will. And the song itselfvin the studio still doesn't sound that winning either (but still really good, of course). We'll see

    • @escserg6731
      @escserg6731 56 хвилин тому

      @@sannev8407I mean, it's high enough effort music, more on the indie side, so not many people would immediately connect with it, especially among the eurofandom. But just like with others, good enough amount of qualities that make it above average. And it's authentic, Vidbir was really focused on that this year (I understand most of the lyrics), less on some potential hits and more on that. So, Vidbir didn't seem that specifically "strong" this year but authenticity was there.

      That's an interesting but sad phenomenon about Eurovision fandom. Every year it happens like that: we know just some amount of songs and fandom says it's gonna be a weak year. Every year. And then the same people scream that this year is so strong during the Eurovision week. As you can see, I personally basically like all the songs now, I don't know how to rate them. So, as usual, I don't call another Eurovision year weak😊

      @escserg6731 2 години тому

      @@rebecca...s yeah. It's not just about waiting for more songs to be selected. Just for some reason, fandom underrates the songs that are already out. I guess, it's some kind of high standards and views of a narrower part of fandom, something like that?

    I don’t think eurovision needs a break from girlbops,it just has to be balanced,max 3 girlbops I think,we said the same in 2021 and finally in 2022 and 2023 girlbops got a good result,it just has to be balances

    I think this is one of the first national finals this year where I genuinely don’t know who is gonna win. For a country like Malta to be holding that title is really saying something as well, there are like 5 songs that I can see realistically winning, which feels like a rarity nowadays 😅

    • @escserg6731
      @escserg6731 3 дні тому

      Yeah, usually we never know with Malta. Which voting system are they gonna use, 50/50 or something around 80/20? Are they already told juries who to vote and push for the win? Or it's a completely open competition? Usually the only predictable thing about them is where the televote goes, if you actually ask Maltese people: Emma Muscat in 2022, The Busker in 2023 (yeah, they were the faves, not Brooke), Matt Blxck in 2024.

    I sometimes forget to say it but I really like your top and your comments (even though sometimes I can disagree with you). About Malta, it's very cool to see this country improving their NF like Latvia, Albania, Ireland and Poland, which are countries that struggle to get a top 10, top 15 or even a qualification. And the production of the show is really good too. My favorite is Kantera too by the way, but I also love Kristy Spiteri and JVF's songs. Have a nive say❤
