the V-berth conversion is simply brilliant. I couldn't tell if the mast was keel stepped or deck stepped...

I love that boat! Mike seems like a great guy too.

Gimme, gimme. The guy said Gozzard had been building boats for (only) 25 years. They've certainly developed an excellent standard of finish and innovative detail in that comparatively short time.

41 foot boat, with only 1 dedicated cabin, which as a master has compromised headroom and barely competes with competitors 2nd or even 3rd cabins. The cabin also doesn't have en suite arrangement. It's a different layout I grant you that, but the end result is disappointing and poor use of space. By comparison Bavaria 42 had 3 double cabins and two heads and there was even a four cabin option still with two heads too.

Did you read the design brief? Its made for a cruising couple and not a mass production boat for the charter market.

I can respect the cruising couple emphasis.. But I still would have to agree with Sean and I do see it as the main downfall of this boat. Two is the maximum amount of cabins in a boat under 50 feet in my opinion, but still, on a boat that is supposed to go on extensive cruises, the ability to have friends over for week-end is essential. I would compare this to for example rustler 37. Both are semi-old school, less beamy, longer keeled, slow and expensive blue water boats designed around a couple. It's an even smaller boat, but it has a master cabin at front, small double bed aft cabin for guest, trotter box that functions as a sea berth and guest bed (something that would save this design imo) and the ability to drop down the table to form another double in the galley. So while it's completely designed around a couple, if needed the couple can have 4 or 5 guest over the weekend. Sure, it'll get cramped, but it is still something that could be a deciding factor when choosing a boat. Or for me at least it would be.

To say that this boat does not have enough cabins for friends is a non-argument as this boat was designed for 2 people. Different strokes for different folks.

That is exactly why I didn't say it needs more cabins. as already has two, kind of. You missed the point.

I’d agree with Sean H, yes this an incredibly high quality boat obviously much higher quality then the majority of production line style charter boats, but for this boat almost being 50 feet long when you factor in that massive bowsprit it’s really not much to write home about in terms of useful space. But then again it’s a very small production niche market producer so clearly people are buying them
