A Bloco Experience - Tilbury is the Place for me

In mid 2020 Thurrock Music Hub, Kinetika Bloco and Gateway Learning Community started on a journey together which has taken young people from Tilbury to Buckingham Palace and back again.
This little film showcases some of the sections of the journey from the first project to the present.
We started by creating the song Tilbury is the Place for Me for performance at Tilbury Fort with young people from the schools. Kinetika Bloco then started delivering weekly drum, steel pan and brass workshops in the school. Some of the schools joined Kinetika Bloco on the road for River of Hope in the Queens Platinum Jubilee Parade. They also performed at the 2023 Windrush celebration. And one of the original young people Praise joined Kinetika Bloco's leadership programme and Summer School.
