I love the integration of Cameron and the Mongoose family. It seemed pretty flawless. And goes to show, blood doesn't make you family. This is really a very beautiful and successful outcome. I do hope little Thor finds a dear friend that will be around for a very, very long time.
Marmosets are the smallest of all monkeys 🐒 and they are very cute 🥰 like you just wanna hold one in your hands 🙌 and pet it on the back and mongooses are extraordinary brave creatures that eat snakes 🐍 and the snakes 🐍 will eat them as well but that’s the circle of life.
the most incredible fact about marmosets is that in south america where they are from, Capuchin monkeys sometimes have them as Pets. treat them feed them as a little brother.
It’s a sweet story, but at 2:05 I can’t help but question the rescue center, putting the (practically) newborn mongoose Teddy in with the much larger Django, and no other mongooses. Django was clearly attempting to assert dominance & drag the baby around. I know they’re social creatures, but that’s usually only with their families, and I know they’re rescues, so they have unique situations…”chosen families”. I’d have at least introduced them through fencing or separate cages first, especially when Teddy is that young and tiny; at least let them spend a week or so with caging between them to get accustomed to one another… that way they can still smell, communicate with, and approach each other (even sleep next to each other, potentially), but Teddy could retreat if needed. I know mongooses play rough, I’m just saying how it LOOKS. But luckily it worked out. Still, that’s an… interesting choice.
The monkey makes all that chatter because it knows she ( the worker ) can 'take the mongoose away' need to find a real pal for the monkey who is trying sooooo hard to tell you....

It is a beautiful story. But I wish Cameron could have her own babies.

Wow I used to watch "Daktari" in TV as a kid! Thor is adorable!
If in thought I loved mongoosees and merecats before I saw this video, I dnt know how to put into words how i feel about them now!! 😍😢💖
The first part of the video made my day.
The second part of the video made my year.
Really unexpected , two different species, so natural
This video is awesome! I didn't expect friendships between banded mongooses and common marmosets to even be possible and exist!

2:23 isn’t that aggressive chattering the mongoose making noise? Hmm 🤔 I don’t even see the marmoset’s mouth open…
Meercats are more Thor's size, they should have matched them up together!
Wow
That meerkat is some aunt...six yrs taking care of others babies...🤔
