    Just got my Bronco windshield (green tint) and tinted side vent and window glass in this past week, from Auto City Glass on EBAY. I choose tinted after seeing yours. Thank you. I hope to see you in Townsend in April. I must have walked by you this year up there. I saw on UA-cam that you were there. Love the build. You have given me several great pointers during my build, which started about the same time as yours. I'm doing body work and primer right now.

    I got my first Bronco when I was 16. It was a 1972 half cab. I have owned two others over the years, the last one was a 1976 that I sold when my kids were young. I hope to get another one some day but these videos have helped to fill a Bronco void in my life. I have always loved seeing the build process. I don't have the knowledge, talent or tools required to build one myself, but watching these videos makes me think that I could possibly do some small things myself. Thank you Jason! Please let us be a part of your next project once Jimmy Buffet is completed.

      Thank you for following along Trey! We have had fun doing the videos for the most part. I am not sure at what the future holds with the channel beyond the Bronco. I have a some ideas but the very little we do get from UA-cam kinda makes it not worth the effort. Thanks again for your support.

    I actually enjoyed putting my windshield. One of the few projects that went without a hitch..

    Bought a "71" bronco in "75". Michigan truck already rusted and then highschool restored in "76". Just finished frame off and tub build, looks nice. Best advice, Jason, when working on early bronco is "Think Positive". Thanks to you and Jonie, Nash, Matt's garage, Condor Driving, and others, withoutout your content I could not have done it.

    I love the steering wheel. You made that look so easy. I just had the place I bought my windshield from come to my house to install mine 😂

    I have to install the windshield to on my bronco, I’m saving that for last, I still have to weld the roll cage together before I install the windshield,

      I don't blame you for waiting. Good luck on the cage.

    I love the candid laughter ….I didn’t use any sealant on mine…no issues to date. Slippery hands and glass makes me nervous too. I think your videos are going to get me into trouble….now I’m thinking about repainting mine. Back from vacation, about 6000 miles round trip. A carb jet change was the only item but knew I would have to do that.

    • @JasonJonieBuilds

      That is so cool you were able to go out and do that. 6K miles is a lot in a modern car but to do it in a Bronco.....that is just plain living the life. Glad yall are safe and hope it was a great time. I am jealous!

    Just in time, I got my new windshield the other day and waiting for the frame to come back from the blaster. You made it look easy. I've seen a few others and they ripped the seal, I think the "dish soap" is the key. Everything looks great. Hopefully I'll see you guys and your Bronco one day.

    There is just one thing, you had mentioned it was a lawn mower string, I did hear any lawn mower take off when you were done....😁 Now you can drive without bugs in your teeth. Looking great. God Bless

    "Dawn Dishwasher Detergent" 🤣

  • @joshuanewer5254
    @joshuanewer5254 2 роки тому +1

    Is there a particular reason you had started the string on the bottom vs the top? Is it to hold the bottom in so it won’t slide down?

    • @JasonJonieBuilds
      @JasonJonieBuilds  2 роки тому +1

      Yes. The glass starts moving as soon as you get that first edge pulled over. I found it is easier to work with gravity and let it help seat the glass.

    What’s the plan for electrical?

    • @JasonJonieBuilds
      @JasonJonieBuilds  2 роки тому +2

      We have a painless wiring kit. We plan to start that this week. I am just trying to get everything in its place first.

    • @joshg8458
      @joshg8458 2 роки тому +2

      @@JasonJonieBuilds I did my first wire job with a painless kit. I know this isn’t your first rodeo in builds but for me, I wish I would have used some bulkhead connectors for the firewall, and put the cluster on a quick release to make it easier to remove. And made the dash easier to pull just in case.
      Also I’ve seen a few builds run the wires between the inner fender and fender to clean up the engine bay.
      Look forward to your ideas and install!

    • @JasonJonieBuilds
      @JasonJonieBuilds  2 роки тому +2

      @@joshg8458 I like the quick release idea. It would make for a better install. Yes we will have to see about the route. I have not given it a lot of thought yet. Thanks!

      @@JasonJonieBuilds I also wired the dash on a table before installing it. Made it a lot easier to make it look good and clean it up.

    I have been thoroughly enjoying your videos and my wife is too. She owns Mustang Magic in Fremont CA. and agrees with everything you've been saying. My first Bronco was a 66 U15, I got it my last year of high school. I sold it after about 6 years, because my X wife talked me into it! I swore I'd get another! I got my 77 U15 in 2000 and will NEVER get rid of it! My second (current) wife liked mine, and got a 68 U13 Roadster, 1of 11 on the build list, and they only made 212 that year, it was also the last year of the Roadster! She has since sold it, but now is looking at the new Broncos, she's hooked!

      Thank You! It sounds like we have a lot in common. Mustangs are our first love. We have been restoring them for a long time. The Bronco was a nice change.
