Get the clutch checked out. I second the thrust bearing failing. We just finished a LT4 at the machine shop that had a near identical heat mark on the crank. Thrust bearing failed and the debris took out the other bearings. Culprit was a twin disk clutch putting to much pressure on the crank. Just a FYI.

It's a thrust bearing, been there done that, except mine knocked out the pump in my TH400. SBC/BBC have thrust bearing on the 5th bearing, LS and LT's have them in the middle, that's why your counter balance looks the way it does.
I've taken that route dozens of times: I-75 to 301 into Anna Maria Oyster bar (right across the street from that gas station). It's even longer than it looks in the video! Impressive!

With the LT1 its recommended to have the pistons forged once you pass 650+ rwhp. You'll be taking a chance if you don't. My '15 C7 Z51 A8 has an ECS blower and catless ARH at 8 psi pushing 568 rwhp 540 rwtq which is safe

Could be a compound of the clutch and the pressure of the blower on the crank that blew the thrust out

It's definitely the thrust bearing. We have had 3 stock C7s eat the thrust. Did you notice any clutch chatter? Thats a tell tale sign its going out.
Well he races it so I'm sure the clutch chattered anyway from getting hot all the time.

With the LT1 its recommended to have the pistons forged once you pass 650+ rwhp. You'll be taking a chance if you don't. My '15 C7 Z51 A8 has an ECS blower and catless ARH at 8 psi pushing 568 rwhp 540 rwtq which is safe
