@@MarieMunsterful I can see where you're coming from. I've lost family (not by law enforcement or at least I'm not aware of that) and had them incarcerated. It sucks. Pobrecita. I hope when all this blows over, you start feeling better.
During this time, I've been donating as much as I could, but I still feel immensely guilty for not attending a protest. Although I live in a prairie town and so far none are here or in the nearby bigger city yet. I had also been sharing many BLM resources and donation links to my friends and relatives to help get them educated and help chip in too! But gosh, it had been long overdue for a change, honestly. My mother got upset and was like "why are black people rioting over 1 guy dying?", and I had to tell her that enough was enough, that there needed to be a change in the justice system.

So happy you're back! I'm ashamed that I didn't know about the protest in my town until the day after because it was organized through Facebook which I left in 2016. But my husband and I donated to Reclaim the Block. I didn't post anything about it until now because I didn't want people thinking we just did it for a pat on the back. I don't know if that was the wrong decision though.

I'm from Italy and here too so many people were appalled and disgusted by Mr. Floyd murder. I'm glad you took a break and regrouped yourself, it's good to have you back! As for what's been going on, it's been beyond utterly heartbreaking what's been happening and I've been nonstop argueing with my family (brother is currently in the military and is very blue lives matter). I've been donating, signing petitions and going to local protests, I just haven't posted about any of that because I don't want it to come off "I'm only doing this for points." Then again, I don't have much of an online presence anyway.

I should message you babe. I hate that you sound so sad. It breaks my heart but I fully see everything that you're talking about. And don't think I haven't commented about how my girl Marie was talking about it first on other videos that I've seen. Also my ass is quite see through but don't let that fool you, I grew up in Detroit and I have seen some shit with some of my family members that are people of color. It's absolutely disgusting! I started protesting when I was YOUNG because I don't believe in letting people slide on their bullshit. I took my daughters to the protest because to me it's so important that they understand that while life isn't always rainbows and sunshine you should ALWAYS stand up for what is right.

As for my involvement in black lives matter, I have not been attending protests. Under the best circumstances me and large crowds don't mix, I have too much anxiety to be comfortable or helpful. But add in Corona on top and that's just too much stress that I don't think I can handle. I have been making donations to local and nationwide bail funds and African heritage centers, since I am an essential worker and have retained a 40hr/week schedule through lockdown and have the funds to spare. I've also been educating myself on privilege and addressing the deep roots of unconscious racial prejudice within my personal life and my community. Also making an effort to support local black businesses. It's a start

Omg jesus Heart breaking when my dad died my uncle lied n said HE HAD NO KIDS, Thankfully I was notified but u know cops gave him everything and he stole most of my dads things b4 we got there. He had lived like 3hrs away..... I have been abused, raped, beaten as a baby/kid/teen..... Shits just messed up, I'm greatful you got Recommended to me. I am so sorry about the hardship you're going through. I wish I could do something to help. I've been going to protests at least three times a week. I actually protested a local business after the owner tweeted racist things and it revealed a pattern of racism. The business owner's friend ran me and three other people over with his truck. Just ran through the crowd. (It's Tanner's Orange in Greenville SC if anyone was wondering. I wasn't the girl in the interview in some of the news clips FYI. That girl was a TOTAL virtue signaller😒) It messed up my knee but I've been wearing a brace and hobbling along. As a white person I feel like it's just as important to show active antiracism. I've been wondering my whole life what I can do other than my temple has done fundraising for Jews for Economic and Racial Justice. This is what I'm doing. I hope everyone else is doing alright and taking part in history changing for the better.

I grew up in California in a neighbor where white was the minority. Now I'm in ND because my family moved here when I was 17. My coworker and I were speaking briefly about the protests, I told her, I know without a show of doubt it was a race thing and that I cannot follow this closely because of my own mental health and I'm still not over Sandra Bland. She had no idea about the case, and doesn't believe that we have a race related and police authority abuse issue. She's from the general area, born and raised. There's hardly any people of color up here and the people here HATE the natives up here too. It blows my mind that people are still so sheltered and indoctrinated in mass these days.
