When Mississippi made its flag (the one with the Confederacy on it) it was a message to black people stating that "You may be free but look who's still got the power". I don't prance around with pride of my Confederate heritage in fact I often look back at it with shame knowing that my family had fought for slavery or as Confederate supporters state "states rights".
