We need more of bluesy soul Violet. I can not get enough of her music 😅. This was especially good though, I think she has a particularly talent for a few generes of music...but more funk, soil, and blues would be awesome 😎. Also, she was never bad...but, she's definitely improved.

This is one of my favorite songs now. I must have listened to it a hundred times in a row, and it's not enough. It does what only my most beloved of tunes can do - take me places mentally. It's like how they say that a picture is worth a thousand words, and that books can take you to different worlds. Song lyrics are poetry. Many words condensed into a precisely chosen few for enhanced expression of only exactly what you want to say. When I listen to your cover, one of your expression-dense words brings a thousand wonderful and vivid pictures to my mind. Imagined images and impressions of what life in a city must be like for people en masse, and for the particular person who is the speaker in this song. The music during the chorus especially helps me to imagine a life that I've only seen in movies, because I'm from such a small town and don't travel much. So big cities are almost only ever just places on TV or that are briefly visited. I love it when music transports my mind out of the present moment. Makes stories in my mind, or lets my consciousness surf on pure imagination to places that it's never been or that don't exist. It's wonderful and incredibly relaxing to drift away to.
