LIVING in Brasil on $500 a month, bought a nice condo here in 2022, am from Florida Retired in 2014 and have worked off and on in the US since NOW in a beach town and am finding some places more boring than others For me a very active city is a lot better than a quiet place, I need the agitation Living in Brasil is much more calm than living in the US but not as active It takes work to keep busy here but the people are great I enjoy eating at specific restaurants for different kinds of foods, I enjoy walking on the beachfront boardwalk, fishing off the beach, sailing and riding my bike Have lived in Brasil off and on since 2001 and exploring new places here or going back to old places I enjoyed Would never go back to the Florida I don't recognize after 50 years Have a much better quality of life and friends here than I ever did in the US, not to mention healthier food and living conditions, for a lot less TOO many people in the US have never been outside the county much less the country ! You have no idea what you are missing not knowing other places. I think a lot of it is fear of the unknown I know 45 countries and am not afraid to even explore the favelas of the world
