- I decided to try out Assassin's Creed Valhalla's new rogue-lite game mode The Forgotten Saga because well...I had nothing better to do one evening.

Just get the armor at the second fire level that heals you like crazy and upgrade it to max. Afterwards it is as easy as a walk in the park. There is also a rune that gives you 4 HP for each kill, which makes it even more absurd.
This video title perfectly exemplifies my Valhalla experience. This was hilarious. Definitely do more of these.
I found it to be an okay addition but at this point it's like... How many game modes are needed at this point? They already have a lot.

@@dravendawson4199 don't get me wrong, I think it's cool because I'm one of the few that likes the game, but for all intents and purposes, when is it going to be enough? This game was already bloated at launch to the point where there's almost an excess amount of content. Not saying that's a bad thing but good lord, it'll turn people away.

Fun fact: you can turn on one shot assassinations in the settings I think under gameplay
They're automatically turned off in this mode. One of the outfits gives you more assassination damage and let's you kill the bigger guys in one hit though

@@sslender07 it’s a game challenge that grants rewards, so if you have ‘cheating’ enabled they make you aware before changing it to be more level.
@@Joke_Bidumb maybe they should actually make the stealth balanced and challenging then instead of insta detection and inconsistent stealth kills
In case you do decide to make more gaming videos in Valhalla there’s an option in the settings to turn on one hit assassinations.
There is a skill as well with a minigame that one hits

I play with this and it somewhat brings back my ac 3 days, but its never enough :(

I think the Forgotten Saga would be better without the frequent restarting from the beginning.
The reason I like odyssey is because I’m a Greek mythology nerd and I’m like 60% Greek and I like seeing kinda hat the past looked like

Honestly, I am glad that I held off buying the game for close to two years.
I can see why AC fans hated it at launch. Now, I got to buy this for less than half of the price of the vanilla (+Wrath of the Druid) and with more free content.
As a Stealth guy, getting that Smoke Bomb Arrow brought Valhalla back close to my Unity days. 👍

The open world for the forgotten saga is mystical. would I dont like is that when you die, you start from the beginning
This update kinda shows a glaring fault at Ubisoft: Idea bleed.
Typically collaborations between teams and departments is encouraged, but it seems like these teams are "tainting" other projects. That's why this update is ripped from the Far Cry 6 DLCs, that's why all their games turn to RPGs, that's why they have this wacky pink-cyan graffiti art style in all their B-tier games. A team comes in, they have ideas that were cool and ALREADY DONE in another game and now they want to do that in the current game too. And what you get is bunch of "cool ideas" that sure, might be fine, but absolutely do not respect the focus or intent of the original idea/IP/brand. Call it "immersion breaking" or "disjointed content", it's there to cheapen the overall product.
This is a big part that makes Ubisoft so creatively bankcrupt nowadays: No cincular clear goal for a game. They just reek of brainstorming meetings that go like "we need more content, what should we do that we know works?"

I completed every single AC and it's DLC's at least two times but with this game....i dropped it after the wrath of the druids DLC and to be honest i don't really want to bother playing any of the other ones but i have to lol. Either way this roguelike style update sounds even worse than the other ones knowing that the combat in this game is so bad and boring. I mean it's not like God of War, Ghost of Tsushima or any of the Dark Souls games where combat is actually fun and challenging so why bother making this a roguelike experience?

@@stealthmaster94 google says that this accomplishment would take 1000 hours and assassins creed has been around since 2007 so 1000 hours spread over 15 years adds up to 60 hours a year i know that doesn't mean he only played 60 hour a year obviously but still people spent like thousands of hours on single games sometimes so 1000 hours aint that bad for a whole franchise

While I’m fine with the combat, I feel it appeals to me in some way, when I played Forgotten Saga, I just.. felt empty. I wasn’t enjoying a single part of it, and I know it’s not the Roguelite part.
I play deep rock galactic which has procedural generation. And I liked the dungeons in persona 3 and 4 which were randomly generated hallways for a few floors then boss.
And yet this mode manages to make me want to drop my controller and boot up my switch to play AC The Rebel Collection instead. (Currently on my third black flag playthrough)
You KNOW you fucked up yojr roguelike when the RNG enjoyer doesn’t like it.

Ubisoft wasted one of the best acted protagonists with male eivor, by making him only canon to the magic parts of the game, and that terrible thing "female" eivor canon to the main part of the game.
Maybe I misunderstood what you were saying, but there is a hood on/off option on weapon wheel or whatever they call it

Update: it been I don’t know how many years but after beating all 3 DLCs for ACV the forgotten saga still doesn’t make much sense and it wasn’t all that worth it.

Haven't play this game in 2 years (mainly cuz i gave up knowing how much it took to beat it and the constant filler) and decided to play this...cuz i have nothing better to do and ngl, its pretty fun maybe cuz hades and the farcry dlc made me like rogue-lites so much but still pretty fun
I enjoyed valhalla alot more than odyssey. And origins did everything better than both..

What better way to celebrate 15 years of assassins creed than a game mode that has absolutely nothing to do with what assassins creed is
People always criticize this game and never see the good in it and that's understandable but I've enjoyed every AC Creed games expect chronicles but what I'm trying to say is that it's a good game just stop acting like whining babies already the story is good and I love Valhalla and I can't wait for AC Creed rift
