This is truly next level artistry. Their choral and voice training backgrounds have done them well here. None of their songs are easy or simple but they make them appear effortless.
4:54 I love how the backup singers imitated Billies adlibs in the studio recording Billie has commented how her favourite parts of this song are her adlibs
You commented how you don’t particularly like the guitar key I wanted to say I adore it, I think it goes perfectly with the stinging emotion of the song I think that was a very smart choice by them
if you listen to the original studio version, the backup vocalists are only matching billie's own harmony and ad lib tracks. some of them are a little buried in the mix but they're definitely there. i love that they're all fully up front in the mix on this performance. i ❤this version over the album version. she's gonna be on snl next month. i'm hoping she brings a similar arrangement. it appears this tour will feature a mostly live band which is something i've been wishing for since forever. we'll know what she's cooked up in a few days. peace.
I always like your reactions to Billie & Finneas - I wonder how many times they rehearse this ahead of time. I'm just thinking how nice it would be to have someone there to produce this episode/experience in the gym - looks like a gymnasium to me - and to suggest to Finneas, "the guitar sounds a little brittle" - I have no idea what the solution would be - is it a case of needing a different guitar with different strings or a 2nd acoustic guitar. Andrew Marshall is their touring drummer and has been since at least 2017 - I saw that he had towels over the snares - I'm guessing that's to keep them from rattling too much. Billie Bossa Nova and Astrid Gilberto - I wonder how Billie would do on "The Girl from Ipanema".
I hope you don't take offense - I often do this out of curiosity with not only artists but people from my past that I've lost touch with {mylife gives a person's birthday and year unless the person has not disclosed that information anywhere) but you have the same Birthday as Billie - that should entitle to a piece of cake together some year! Of course, if she's off pitch you'll still need to point it out! But she rarely is - although a vocal coach just pointed out how she was a bit off on a couple notes on the live version of "the 30th".

as the other two comments say, billie never disappoints 😭
Loooooove this performance. Brilliant. She never disappoints.
Billie genre, i love it.
I didn't have a favorite Billie Eilish song until you shared this one, good stuff! Thanks! Live performances are where it's at...
0:24 Brick - 2004
as the other comment says, billie never disappoints she has such an angelical voice
Huge,huge real talent here🙌🏻
Love the arrangement, starting out with the simple guitar then the addition of the drums and bass. The floating harmonies are amazing.
Great song
Great performance

She said multiple times Girl From Rio is her favorite song and that she’s a big Bossa Nova fan, I guess you’re right on the Astrud Gilberto thing
Record of the year. Yes …no…what. Do you think…? For me….yes
It's definitely up there!
She did several other songs as part of this Amazon Songline. It's definitely something to listen to.
Please please please listen and react to Billie’s other Amazon Music live performances. They are all as phenomenal as this one!☝️
I love how billie's voice and her singing skills are incredible but also the beats and melodies behind... this is pure art
moço fofinho 🤏
From the bottom of my heart I react to the rock concert in Rio Lisboa that Demi Lovato sang sober Before she overdosed
