Kodak went supernova. Yep! The photography company closed a loan with the federal government and pivoted into the coronavirus sector.

So why do stocks go supernova?
One reason is short sellers. They can be like an accelerant and make things chaotic. That’s how you get epic gains in just a couple of days. When a stock like KODK starts spiking wildly, shorts who bet against it are forced to panic buy. That causes the asks to skip up.
This is why you must really consider risk with shorting. The thing with the long side is that the worst-case scenario is that stock goes to zero. You lose everything you put into the trade…
But shorts can have unlimited losses. If they don’t cut losses fast enough, they can lose everything they put into the trade - and much more. They can blow up their entire account or even owe their broker money.
That’s your warning. Now, how do you recognize this setup?
Say the news hits on day one, and the stock gaps up about 400%. If you’re not familiar with how these stocks move, you might think you missed the move. Don’t worry. You didn’t.
The stock then fades all day, collects shorts, and closes on the low of the day. Fast forward to where the magic happens … day two.
Look for that fifteen-minute gravestone doji candle, then that high of day break after 9:45 a.m. That’s a solid indicator.

As always, great content, Tim. Definitely been short squeezed before ( ironically KODK was my largest loss). My broker had to liquidate my position. And of course 2 days later it would have been a profitable trade.

You hooked me up with $SPI this morning. Got in 3 times...4 times, if you count paper trading with STT. I’m starting to see the squeeze. The shorters got juiced at 4, then again around 5 then at 11. No one listens to you about “DO NOT SHORT FIRST GREEN DAY ON A LOW FLOAT STOCK!” I wonder how many IED’s these shorters stepped on today. As Ursula the witch from “The Little Mermaid” says, “Poor, unfortunate souls.” Thanks again Tim. See you in the morning.✌🏾🙌🏾
Today with $SPI, was a little scared bought at $9.80 and sold at $10.92 then watched it go to $35...but thanks to your morning prep and daily briefings and all the videos I am learning!! Thanks again!!

Great content . I am short biased and have been squeezed before . Shorting is not for small accounts,definitely risky and requires very skilled risk management.

My first time in a short squeeze. I thought I bought high at 9.21. WOW was I wrong! rode it to the 40’s on a small account. Thank you for this info 💪🏼
The question is were you able to sell in the $40s because the squeeze happened so fast and then it got halted and went back down really fast as well to the $20s. it’s hard to catch the top of a short squeeze realistically.
Belle P. Yup sold before the drop. You just have to follow your plan or set of rules. I knew it was gonna pop. Exactly like you said to high to fast means waterfall about to happen. You can never know what the highest point is. If you look at the 15 min chart it tells the story.
Pollo Loco hard to predict. Thought it’s gonna continue to squeeze to $60s. Who would have thought it would get halted in the $40s.. right? But selling in the $20s also wasn’t bad. That’s still more than 50% win if you bought on the dip. ;)
Belle P. Yea that’s a perfect win. As long as you take profits on the meat of the climb. Reaching and guessing the tops in my experience almost always ends in losing money.

I traded SPI. I bought it when it broke 9.25 then again when it broke 13.15 then again when it broke 15.73 it was basically free money
Got in SPI around 9:50 when it failed the first time & got out & used my last day trade.. only for it to start going parabolic 20 min later 😖

Man (SPI) yesterday started below 5 and shot up to the 40s that was crazy only thing wrong is I didn't take it seriously at first until the last minute I had it below 5 but was paying attention to another stock and didn't think it was going to break out but it did wow I got a small gain and not the big one.

All those fundamentals are not relevant for AMC GME right now. The Squeeze is going to be so massive I can almost guarantee you it won't ever happen again.
AMC looks like it might be thee next big short squeeze as it's nearly as heavily shorted as GME is.
