Article the other day at Loudwire.com listing the ten worst guitar center songs. You can imagine the list but Smoke on the Water was number 1.
I love how much fun the show is these days.
Holy Cow,,,Smoke on the water and Pretty Woman......I finally recognized 2 songs...I am 74 years old and I thought I would die before Mike played a song that I knew....Just kidding,,,Mike is doing a great job.

Glad you played Smoke On The Water on that Strat! Looks and sounds almost exactly like Ritchie's, minus the scalloped frets! Great tone and Blackmore style soloing!

I always wonder if these old guitars could ever imagine as they left the factory what would eventually be played on them. It shows what great instruments they are that you never know what a player can produce from them.

That's a fantastic 58! Worth its weight in gold.great pick.not sure why lamo has so much trouble opening the cases or forgetting to bring the guitars out front with him.smoke much? Plays well.axe sounds just like it should.great tone and classic resonance.

I don't know why I don't have one. It might be too complicated for me.
Guitar ocd get one mate ! I had the same thoughts but now it’s permanently patched in. I thought it would take a while to get use to it but it’s so much easier than i thought, even if only to give yourself a few quick rhythm bars to jam against. I’m going to upgrade to a better pedal now I know how useful they are but I just grabbed one of those mini loopers (it was like 25$) to start with
I agree it seems like an amazing tool. But I like to challenge myself to see what I can get out of just the guitar. I could see how Looper could make you better. I'll have to get one before I die. LOL

I always tune in to hear Lemmo’s playing, amazed as always. That’s Strat is the nicest I’ve seen or heard at Norms!
Fun fact: the original powerhouse riff heard on “Pretty Woman” was actually a result of three guitar players (and possibly a forth) on the session playing that riff in unison... (Wayne Moss and Jerry Kennedy and Billy Sanford)
I hope that they had that track of Smoke on the Water playing in the store all friggin day!

Is that the best 50's Strat you've ever had on GOTD? Umm I think it is. Great Demo Michael. It's funny that when Phil X stopped doing the demo's at Fretted Americana then the whole show just died off, I was concerned that with Mark going this may go the same way but this channel has moved up another gear, really cool Michael and Jen nice one.
I love all $23k of it but as a non pro it is out of my price range... such a good guitar though...
Is that what it's listed at? I would've thought about 35-40k. Late 50s is the holy grail of Strats, but maybe 58 is less of a must-have than a 59 or something.
@@andrewptob It might not have all original parts. Also 50s - early 60s Strats (pre cvs) are all pretty sought after but they don't necessarily cost as much at the late 50s early 60s les Paul's in part because a decent number of them still exist. You can still get 'deals'. If this one was perfect I would expect Norm to charge more.

The white back cavity covers always look cheap, mine permanently lives in the case. Strats look better with an exposed back IMO
I do the same with all my Strats
Plus it improves the tone
