WOW. Few things on the internet are life-changing, but this short story, however brief, is alive with powerful and beautiful messages. I may not have caught them all, but some of the messages follow, namely:
1. A mother knows her baby's voice, as Anne knew her violin's sound.
2. A musician can grieve the loss of her instrument as a mother does the loss of a child.
3. Playing music is food to the soul of a real artist.
4. The laws of society often clash with the artist's need, the artist's COMMISSION, to express her art.
5. Mischief in the form of theft (so unexpected in this story!) can strike the most beautiful soul, as it did the violinist.
6. Mischief in the form of theft can be a cry for help, or a misguided expression of interest or fascination, in a person who does not know a healthy way to express interest.
7. Responding beautifully, in a healthy and encouraging way, when the normal response would be to express rage and scolding...is the best way to do things. Such a response can save a life and create a friendship. So beautiful, the musician's response to the child!
8. A truly humble person is she who would allow herself to be perceived as a tattered street beggar when, in fact, she is a glamorous headliner. An artist who loves honing and sharing her craft will do it anywhere she can.
Finally, I am not quite sure what the ending means. Did the musician give the child the cherished violin? Did the child go out and buy her own? Also, was the child a reflection of the woman?
By the way, who IS Anne Harris?? My goodness, she shines with a beauty and peace that are spiritual as well as physical, which lets you know she takes care of ALL of herself. Lovely to see! (I created a "We Shall Overcome" UA-cam playlist a couple of weeks ago, and Anne's porch video showed up in the research results. I included her but had no idea what a powerful spirit she is. Glad I revisited her porch performance today, which led me to look up her channel. Miss Harris, if you read this, God bless you for finding your passion at 3 years old, because of your mom, and for sticking to it and spreading your musical love with the world!)

Korean born violinist Min Jin- kyms her Stradaivarius was stolen in London, when she ordered a coffee, 3 years later with the help of police the violin was recovered..Never take your eye off your instrument..this is a nice short film with a musician and a curious young kid..Happy ending for all involved....Slainte..
