I grew up in Trelawny parish and would visit Falmouth on special occasions. I’ve been away for some time and It’s good to see the development and the major renovation work that’s been carried out in Falmouth. Makes me feel proud.

Jamaica is a beautiful island and African heritage still runs through the DNA of the people 🇯🇲🙏🏾

I lived in MO Bay the first part of 1990. I loved old funky Falmouth back then. It was so small, so quaint and I thought I would like to live there. Now I don't recognize it.

Indeed is has transformed dramatically from its former humble beginnings. Thank you for your comment. 🙂

Falmouth is spectacularly beautiful. I'm not a fan of the cruise ship port but progress I guess. Another favorite town is Port Maria. The drive into the town is amazing.

I hope Jamaica will one day Bun the place names of the colonisers and their emulation of Europe

My brother you know that not going to happen ? Because Jamaica embraced colonialism everything colonialism they like. If you visit Kingston go to the mayor's office and the Crest they used for Kingston and St. Andrew Municipal Corporation Jamaica ? Have a lion and India on the shield has the flag of Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 on it. We got independence in August 1962. and haven't put our flag. 🇯🇲 you see were the design of our flag came from 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇯🇲 We had a lot of Scottish influence in Jamaica. 98% of plantations owners were Scottish.

Its good to keep the old landmarks we are the ones that suppose to know what it means and who are those responsible for colonizing our people.

This is where my family are from and I hope Jamaicans will one day get rid of the names of the colonisers and the names they have that emulate Europe. English governor more like human trafficker 😢

The audacity of the coloniser to name themselves as saints ie Catherine Elizabeth when they were human traffickers 😡
