It's good to see footage of Mors, A huge loss to the bushcraft and outdoors community. I'm sure everyone at Karamat Wilderness Ways will keep his spirit alive and continue to bring educational and relative information here on UA-cam. All the best !
RIP Mors.
Somehow, I feel this is where he'll hear my comment the most.
Thanks for posting this. Teach on Karamat!
great stuff, please upload as much archival stuff as possible. It's priceless stuff!
I live in the Pacific NW. Sometimes....often the problem is not tinder or kindling, but fuel wood. Somnetimes the wood is all so big, you can't find good fuel without an axe and/or saw to process the really big stuff. You might find a downed old cedar that will burn really well, but to get at the burnable wood requires big chopping capability. Other parts of forest might have all second growth hemlock and I have seen the lower dead branches when they are actually too wet to get a fire going. I spend a lot of time in boreal Ontario and that is heaven for firewood. SOrry Mors is gone and sympathy to you guys.
So nice to see Mors still making footage!
russians know about big fires too lol you will be missed Mors
RIP Mors. Keep those vids coming Kelly/ Karamat.
R.I.P. Mors.... :>)>
Thank you for the post, it is already added my Mors file.
Great content!
Wow, first comment!
Told of Mors' passing by a tribute from ReallyBigMonkey1.
Mors is one of the Bushcraft Greats :-). All my best to his surviving family and loved ones.
Adding ashes to the forest floor is one of Nature's ways of processing and returning minerals to the ground for the use of growing living plants. During and before WW2 housewives returned the ashes of their fires into their kitchen gardens to increase nutrients in the household's produce.
Excellent point taken from this video: The wisest fire practices depend upon your terrain.
Rest In Peace, Mors Kochanski, and May God Bless you.
