For future students to give ya a headstart: - No introduction for herself, why she was qualified to present on acupuncture, with a purely anecdotal background as far as experience -She made no attempt to encourage or allow audience participation; she had handouts and objects to present with her, but no genuine audience participation. There are other flaws in the speech that you'll have to find on your own, but here's two freebies.
This video beautifully explains how acupuncture restores health by balancing energy flow through precise needle placement. Definitely worth exploring for anyone seeking holistic health solutions.
That's was great she didn't look at her notes more than she was looking the audience. her speech rate was very good she didn't stumble at all over all it was great!
I would rate that speech is excellent. I didn’t hear any verbal fillers, and The fluency was moderate. This means it was very informative, and I can understand every word.
Her speech was great I liked listing to it. Her work is very professional and her attitudes and reactions were very professional. I liked how she showed credibility by telling the audience her grandmother’s story and experience with the illness. And I also liked that she used visual aids during her presentation to make her point clearer.
yall help me!! 1. What is the topic of the speech? 2. What is the speaker’s specific purpose? 3. Which of the following methods of gaining interest and attention does the speaker use in the introduction? Relate the topic to the audience State the importance of the topic Startle the audience Arouse the curiosity of the audience Question the audience Begin with a quotation Tell a story Refer to the occasion Invite audience participation Use visual or audio aids Refer to a previous speaker Begin with humor 4. Does the speaker preview the main points of the speech in the introduction? 5. List the main points developed in the body of the speech. 6. What pattern of organization does the speaker use? 7. Are the speaker’s main points clear and easy to follow? Why or why not? 8. Does the speaker use a transition or other connective between each main point of the speech? 9. Which of the following methods of referring to the central idea does the speaker use in the conclusion? Restate the main points End with a quotation Make a dramatic statement Refer to the introduction Challenge the audience Call for action
I like your presentation and the visual aid of it. I personally thought it was very well organized and planned out. I would have liked to see a few more pictures with detail maybe but other than that very good!
She has an opinon which is not informative .She talked about her grandmothers problems and said accupunture works.Yes I watched this in speech class as many have.Keep it informative
Aneury,how does a personal story possess credibility? facts and credible sources have credibility.Here's an idea: In your opening speech,mix some personal stories with real facts.Your instructor is saying a personal story gives the facts more weight,because it's something you've experienced.i'm not judging you.Speech class is extremeley difficult.love our conversation...
God, this is such an egregious misuse of the word scientific. Even if acupuncture works (which she did not provide nearly enough evidence to convince me that it's anything more than placebo, in addition to not citing all of her claims), she did not even remotely try to explain how it works. Giving a brief summary of a 2,000 year old spiritual belief about how it is meant to work is so disgustingly far removed from actually explaining it. That's an interesting cultural story, but it has no place being the "this is how it works" part of the speech. I don't know if I've ever experienced such a sharp dropoff of credibility from a speaker. A ridiculous lack of awareness about the nature of medicine and science.
public speaking class lol

You absolute GOD.
She was qualified because she witnessed her grandmother's experience. That counts as credibility material.
you are an angel for that
Thumbs up if you're here for a CVTC Oral/Interpersonal communications class!

I could feel the passion in her tone because she was talking abOUT her grandmother.
