Taken from his tenth album ‘Undefeated’ released on Xtra Mile Recordings. ‘Undefeated’ follows his first UK #1 album, 2022’s ‘FTHC’, and is the result of his decision to step away from the major label world to re-embrace the liberation of working as an independent artist, Frank says, “my first back home with a global independent label setup (still with Xtra Mile of course).”

#FrankTurner #Ceasefire #Undefeated
This song popped up randomly as I was in Chicago leaving a meeting of old friends in the music industry. I was running back to my hotel, dodging a heavy rainfall and hiding underneath downtown theater awnings. These lyrics hit me soooo soooo hard. I took selfies drenched in Chicago rain, and because of them, my son told me that they were the happiest he has ever seen me. I felt the message of this song more than you can possibly imagine. I've followed you for ages, but didn't know you had a new album. Thank you for this!
Magic moment … love this
After a handful of listens through the album, I think this is my favorite song on the album. Kudos, Frank.
Mine too
Agreed
This won't be the most popular song of the album, but it's my favourite. Beautiful writing here.
This track is pure heart ❤️
Frank, your depth in your songwriting keeps growing. Still surprising me decades on. Thank you for the music 🤗 p.s. that ending...banger alert!
Jesus, the metacognition that he brings with those words and that voice
Love this tune. Reminds me a lot of Frank's earlier work. I find this oddly similar, in context at least, to the Lottery Winners', "Letter to Myself." Considering Frank had a feature on that song, I wonder what sort of bearing it had on the final product of "Ceasefire."
This is my favourite song off this incredible album. The outro is absolute fire, as powerful and emotional as it gets 😭 Fucking love you Frank 🫶🏼🥹
Time and time again, FT manages to find words that articulate my struggles in a way I cannot do without him. This track is pure therapy for me. A path, once again, from darkness into the light.
"I have seen things that you don't even know that you've never seen" is such an incredible lyric. Love this song.
And Frank just put me in words … FUCK !!!
this one is my favorite!!!!❤❤
Good tune this one. ❤
Banger of an album, Frank.
Absolute masterpiece. I've been crying and going through old photos listening to this today.
Looking forward so much to see you in Linz this November 😊
The opening line is just 👌😲🤯
Yeah I realized that this song was gonna emotionally compromise me in a big way as soon as he said that.
Find it soo hard to listen to Frank now, my life fell to pieces and the words speak so much they just rip open wounds I spend my days trying to ignore 😔
I hope one day you will be able to listen to his songs again, and gain power from them instead of pain. o7
you and I both. they speak a little too close to my pain and sometimes the songs linger when im no longer hearing them and it hurts
keep faith, I feel also feel emotionally very unstable at the moment and many of Franks songs touch me deeply and painfully right now. but there is light, be forgiving to yourself, Believe me, I know it's hard, but you are worth it.
Frank's music saved my life. Been a long road back. Life fell apart. My sister gave me Love Ire And Song. Something about listening to the first 3 tracks over and over again seemed to get me willing to go outside again. Tape Deck came out soon and Recovery seemed to hit at just the right moment. There is a lot to think about in the new stuff, and I love it, but, when I'm down, Prufrock is still my go to. Good luck friend. 10 years later things look way different and I'll be dancing to There She is in October at my wedding. A little older in life, but still time. Stay safe!
@rlemieux13 good luck on the wedding, great to see someone come out the other side
My new favorite ❤
Man, I'm living this song.
I love you 3!!
I was really hoping a punkish song titled 'Ceasefire" in 2024 was about something else but here we are. Really like the song nonetheless.
That's exactly why I jumped straight here. I thought I'd better not chance being hit with a Frank Turner-lyric level of song about this genocide in the middle of the album and end up on the floor. Crisis averted.
I don't think we need have any concern about where he stands on this, though, eh.
edit. I fucking hope not, anyway.
In fairness, this was probably written and recorded before any of that started really popping off...
