Just extend that drain hose down to the condensate drain under the passenger carpet. Use a 3/8" plastic wye and be done with this Japanese nonsense. Too much playing around trying to grab that silly badly designed pop-in fitting with its leaky gasket.
Thank you for this concept. I’m fixing my daughter’s car this way right now since I’m 800 miles away from my tools and the fittings I bought. Strangely there was an ant infestation under the under padding.

Good idea!! I may do that next as we had massive rains the past week and some water made it's way into the cabin!

@@GusMahn Insects do like wetness. I drilled some holes to drain the water first, then did the drain tube a few weeks later.
