i have 1970s usha continental, late 1980 high breeze, 2008 high speed, 2011 highspeed, bajaj ultima 36" and now, riviera 36", aura, 2x high speed 2021 2x high speed 2022 6x solan hs 2020 1x bethora hs 2020 (the rest cromptons are bethora only). vintage fans are the continental and high breeze. dont judge the riviera.

for 10x12 bedroom 1400mm wont fit , 1200mm is a perfect one please go for Crompton high speed ceiling fan is u want a good quality brown ceiling fan.

go for crompton high speed 42" ceiling fan, that room 42"(1050mm ) is perfect if 1200mm dont have airflow , old khaitans are slow anyways , in 10x12 room wont give airflow

If the fan is humming on switching on an not rotating , then u have a bad capacitor which is easy to replace. replacing Capacitor is a self doable job, if it doesnt work lemme know

In singapore, these fans are introduced in 1960s are still around, there are 2 kinds here big motor, which is called GEC Everest, and one more with a slightly smaller motor, rebadged as GEC Queensair.. Both with sealed motor like yours, air displacement depends on blade design, but generally okay.
