*The 3 speed is good **MyBest.Tools** trying to keep to a low speed for a long time with just the trigger is hard. The only negative is I keep bumping the on/off switch when changing blades, not dangerous but annoying.*
I've had this same tool for about 5-6 years. I'm not a very heavy user - I've used it mostly for undercutting door jambs when replacing flooring. I've done four rooms over the years and the tool is still going strong.
I was watching this video thinking: "Man if he drops that tool and gouges his nice wood flooring, his wife is REALLY going to be upset." Although you could make another video showing how you removed the gouged piece of flooring and repaired it before your wife got home! Thanks for the info.
Bought this tool with H.F.'s coupon for $18.99 after the oscillating mechanism in my Dremel broke. I can say that this has been a better-performing tool than the Dremel, and uses the same blades as the Dremel.
Cool, thanks for posting! I'm in the market for one, a corded one should be fine, and Harbor Freight is in my budget. Thanks for the demo...was right up my alley!
Got mine for $15 after using a HF 25% off coupon. For the price, this is a great tool, specially for those small projects or simple tasks around the house, very simple to use, powerful and super handy! This tool is NOT for heavy duty use or construction jobs, so don't go "baby whining" and complaining if it brakes after trying to cut through a stucco wall or bricks, just open your wallet a little wider and purchase a more expen$ive tool.
19.99 single speed, 32.99 variable speed, 39.99 cordless variable speed. Often see super coupon 32.99 for 24.99 or save a few more pennies use 25% off = 24.74 🤠👍 Tool in vid is the middle priced😜
You can get ones that fit the Harbor Freight tool on ebay for rather cheap. That's where I get all mine. They usually ship from China but the long wait is still worth the small cost if you don't need it right away.
I bought mine around 2010 or so but it's blue and came with a hard case as well as a bunch of different accessories. HF has gotten kind of expensive anymore. Their prices aren't much better than the cheaper tools at Home Depot/Lowes anymore and they skimp out on things like accessories. Very little reason to buy fro them.
Got one today. Can't believe it has no support packaging. Just laid right in the box. At first I thought someone returned it. I plugged it in and turned it on as soon as I got home. It turns on at least. Model 63113. Regularly $39.99, on sale for $24.99. plus tax.
Got sent over from TheStruggleville! Trying to help support the small channels like myself and I see you have a few tool videos that are right up my alley!
Not sure how many times you've used your oscillating multi tool but now that a few months have gone by, does it seem to be holding up? Anything you have been disappointed with?
I love the fact that we all married men are worried about wives being there nagging about every toy we have and use them inside the house🤣...so thats y we wanna play and clean up before the boss shows up...🤣good demo. Thanks
I also love how all you married men always worry about the nagging wife ... that's why I'm not married! But seriously, thanks for the review. As it turns out, I bought one of these about 8 years ago and still have not opened the box. But I have a use for it today. It will be perfect for the job.
Just curious about the accessory you were using just after you returned from charging your camera. I've been trying to remove a glued guitar neck from a DIY kit I got a couple of years ago. The neck was supposed to be cut to fit, but the company said they had a problem with a lot of those models. They told me they'd replace the neck If I could get it off. They should have replace the whole thing since they knew it had problems, but they didn't. I've heated the neck itself then heated a putty knife to try and get the neck loose. I was able to work the putty knife in a bit on the sides, but the bottom is the real problem. I used strong glue on this thing. I was wondering if that accessory would work without cutting too much wood out. The wider one without the teeth on it might work if I could just heat it up before using it, but it might be too wide.
I've been using my oscillating tool for couple years and I went to use it recently and for some reason the screw will not stay in and the blade keeps falling out. I even put a lock washer on it and within about one to two minutes the screw comes loose again. I just can't figure out why that would happen when it's been working fine. The screw and the beveled washer are the only two things that should be holding it in. Any thoughts?
I've seen a suggestion online that sounds logical -- that it might be best to tighten/loosen the blade with the shaft supported by an open-end or crescent wrench -- so that the internal gears are not subjected to this torque. Has anyone disassembled one of these to see?
Don’t ever pay full price on any tools at harbor freight. If you’re on their mailing list you will get monthly coupons for 25% off all their tools. Just be patient and you’ll save on already low prices.
They stopped sending me the catalog and I noticed they don;t advertize that much in the local mailers. I did see one ad in the local mailer 2 weeks ago and it didn't have any freebie coupons or the 20% off coupon, so I guess they must've done away with that. Not much incentive to buy from HF anymore becuase lowes and HD are selling cheaper tools now to compete with HF.
not cheap in harbor freight. check ebay i just got these or 13 $ today 6pc Mix HCS E-cut Bi-metal Saw Blades Triangular Rasp Kit Oscillating Multi Tool
How about build a nice work bench in your man cave? Get off the floor. LoL! Thanks for the videos though. I’m considering purchases one of the those. I have a dyi project going.
"Works well one handed". Cutting like that and that'll be the only way you're be able to. I can't stress this enough plzzz respect the tool. These things can be dangerous. If u have to watch a couple videos on the tool you're not sure about for safety.
Why do Americans feel the need to belittle everyone and post public service announcements like as if they all work for the US Consumer Safety Commission?
It's not belittling, it's called SAFETY 1ST! a golden rule of life!, Which this man very much IS NOT SAFE! That's not belittling, it is stating a FACT, and of concern
En fin no mostraste nada....un simple y pequeño corte en madera y le costó......si fuera corte completo y repetitivos en un trabajo....está máquina no funciona.....dinero mal gastado
Not sure, but years ago I watched the FEIN Multimaster tool video, and at the time I really wanted that tool, but it cost over 300.00 maybe even 400.00! I thought it was cool, but not THAT cool. I think (maybe) the patent ran out, so this is why you now see so many manufacturers making their own take on the FEIN tool. One thing I do remember is that it would not cut into soft material, and one contractor even stuck her finger or hand on the blade as it was oscillating and it did not cut her. I would be interested to see if this one does the same. If you own one of these PLEASE don't try it. I guess one could always use a sacrificial wiener (no I am serious) like they do in the Saw Stop ads, where the circular saw blade shuts down completely saving your fingers. BTW you can still see the original Multimaster infomercial here on UA-cam under Fein Multimaster full demo or something like that.

Best tool ever for cutting outlet box openings in OSB. ALTHOUGH a set of blades costs as much as the tool.
You can resharpen those blades 😉

I have a three in one tool impact ,drill and driver but nothing to do plunge cuts might pick one of these up
Ive been happy with it so far. Thanks!
Thank you. I was considering getting one.
The bigger/wider blade it says is for SCRAPING. The smaller/narrower blade is a saw.
Awesome video!
It looks to me like this would easily cut through most upholstery staples. Do you see any problem with that? Thx
Gracias felicitaciones y siempre adelante
Mine came with a lock washer but no brushes
wonder if I can use this to cut out a windshield

They didnt spend much on packaging, thats for sure. But it works!
I can't complain. We probably saved $50 to $75 buying a Harborfreight tool.
exactly
On sale today for $5. Too bad it is not cordless. I will get one.
Wow. That’s cheap!

@@zzames turns out it was the screw. Someone replied to my post and suggested trying to new screw and I went to Lowe's and bought one and it worked.

+Dave Joseph that brings up a great point.
Have the fitting pins sheared off or fallen out yet? This type of tool is very handy but the HF didn't last very long for me.
Nope, been working awesome, and Ive used it alot cutting windows out of my old house, very happy.
Wondering if Harbor Freight sells a high grit sandpaper, like 1000 grit. Would like to use the sandpaper triangle on my headlights.
They do have alot there, not sure on the grits though
@@JohnVHLife They carry at least a 2000 grit, in sheets. Not certain about triangles though. Could cut them yourself pretty easily I imagine.
It is pretty hard to justify $70+ for tool only when this thing exists as a weekend warrior.

Very informative. Thanks. By the way what type of camera did you use to tape this. I love the quality.
