I Love the teachings of Anthony DeMello. After reading hundreds of books , I came across Anthony’s videos on UA-cam. I have finally found what I’ve been looking for. He’s explained it so simply.
    Thank you for sharing 🌹🙏

Hi Pammi. I check back in with Anthony regularly. He had such a profound way of communicating transformational ideas. Thanks for watching.

Glad to see someone giving de Mello the stage. I feel like he's severely underrated.

@@drdavidmaloneypsychotherapy Thanks for this excellent video David. As mentioned already de Mello's teachings are clear. I find a lot of what he said remains relevant as he always highlighted how society is sick. Dropping the conditioning and education of society was key to ridding self of the insecure me

Undoing, shedding, unravels the peaceful joyful light ourselves!?
We live fixed with safe walls of the conditioning.... unhappy, unhealthy, unaware and un- free.

As I am listening to this from De Mello I am filled with doubt that it could work on my biggest attachment, which is the attachment of a good nights sleep. The mindset and the soul is completely twisted if I dont have the basic needs in order. What is your view on this?

I have a free book on that topic Michael. It's called 'Forget Happiness' and it's over on my site.

Why do you think humans seem to naturally incline towards a fascination with illusory means of happiness, externals, etc.?
I can get some bad anxiety flare ups and I'm always so confused as to why I do this to myself, why my mind tends to catastrophize against my will. I would love to feel that solace de Mello seems to have.

When you remove the blindfold, the result is sight.

What if that one attachment is health? What if one is dealing with very poor health. How can one be happy without health?

Hi John. I see this as working on 2 levels so to speak. The first level (the human level) should not be overlooked. Here we focus on validating and meeting our emotional/physical needs. The second level could be considered more spiritual or transcendent. I think the problem is that we come to view it as an either/or choice of what's important. They both are. My free eBook 'Forget Happiness' outlines this idea in more depth and might give some more insight.
