Shout out to Mark Moseley as the only kicker to ever be named MVP. Like Samson his kicking power came from those curly locks. Met him back in the 80s …down to earth super guy.
MVP’s seem more relevant to me back in the day. Brown and Unitas and the others winning multiple times in the days before everything became a penalty is impressive.
Lawrence Taylor being the last defensive player to win it is justified. He was a game changer back then. Nobody has come close since. This could be the year a running back gets it. No qb has had a great season.
I would hate to see a season where a punter made MVP that`s for sure. I noticed Mark Mosley place kicker got it in 82, that must have been an exciting season.
1984 had to be the craziest year ever. Eric Dickerson breaks OJ Simpson's single-season rushing record with 2105 yds and still misses out on MVP. It was of course the same season Marino throws for 48 TD's and over 5000 yds
Allen is the most unlucky and underrated player in the nfl, the guy as an all time great qb. He preforms at too high a level every season to not have 1-2 mvps right now.
2014 should’ve been JJ Watt, you can argue that a QB should always take the MVP but idc. I also don’t care that Watt also said QBs should always get the award.
I know football, but I was thinking the same thing. There are a few I was not as familiar with, especially since there were several years in which I was unable to watch the games.
Brady won those Super Bowls in a large part because of his defense and coaches. He was very good in the super bowl but not in the top 5 QB’s during the regular season, that’s why no MVP🤷🏼♂️
Giving it to Elway in 1987 was the biggest joke ever. It should have been a two-horse race between Jerry Rice & Joe Montana Montana was 10-1 as a starter in that strike-affected season. He led the NFL in passer rating (102.1), TD Passes (31) and completion % (66.8). Elway had a passer rating of 83.4, threw only 19 TD Passes and completed only 54.6 % of his passes. Jerry Rice of course had an historic year, with an NFL Record 23 TD Catches and 1,065 yards in only 12 games.
In 1982 there was a player strike, causing a shorter 9 game season Mark Mosley went 20 for 21 playoffs and regular season included which was a league record
Interesting, that Rogers and Manning won more MVP titles than Tom Brady. I am not sure what to think about that fact. To my opinion, Tom Brady would have deserved much more MVP titles than he actually has.
The duel MVP years you left those with one of the two and this list is inaccurate so not such a great list. Farve /Sanders 98 and McNair/P. Manning 03 so I say fix that please.
@@yoshpeters3079 Biggest fallacy ever. Manning's 2009 season was probably his best. No running game. Rookie coach. Sacked 10 times THE ENTIRE YEAR. Fumbled twice and no fumbles lost THE ENTIRE YEAR. 7 game-winning drives. And undefeated until they took him out in the 15th game. The Colts defense played without Bob Sanders almost the entire year (I think he played in 2 games.) Brees had a great offensive line and the Saints defense was better. That Colts team couldn't have won more than 4 games without Manning.
The goat Brady was robbed of easily 4 MVPs. The bias is just too bad when deciding these. Esp when he went to Bucs and won a SB. That is MVP. Not Rodgers who was afraid to take risky throws just to keep his TD Int ratio low
@ well the award is “most valuable “ and Brady the goat was the most valuable to Bucs and make the most value for them clearly. Rodgers did well too but Brady did exceptional. That was MVP. A few other seasons too he carried Patriots to SB wins. Sadly people hate successful people and they voted blindly against Brady. At the end the record of Brady and 7 rings (more than any team which is an insane stat for a player) is beyond anything
Jim Brown, what a legend. 3 MVPs at fullback.
Fullback was a big position back then
Shout out to Mark Moseley as the only kicker to ever be named MVP. Like Samson his kicking power came from those curly locks. Met him back in the 80s …down to earth super guy.
Lou Groza?
Crazy to think that since 2018, there have been only 3 MVP winners- Rodgers, Mahomes and Lamar
And Lamar finna win again
@@JPPRODZZ🧢
And Lamar has yet to win a Super Bowl.
@@MichaelTaylor-qp2xfHad a chance last year but chiefs refs came in clutch for them
@@JPPRODZZ How many narratives we got to bend for Lamar to get another MVP? Lmao
Barry and Brett spilt in 97 so did McNair and manning in 03
Payton Manning was co-winner with Steve Mcnair in 2003
Neat. I think it’d be helpful to include the team they were playing for, and possibly as well the number of mvp’s that makes for them. i. e. (3)
MVP’s seem more relevant to me back in the day. Brown and Unitas and the others winning multiple times in the days before everything became a penalty is impressive.
If Barry Sanders had played for a good team, he would have won every year of his career.
Absolutely 💯 correct.
In 1997, I believe Favre and Barry Sanders were co-MVP’s. Favre had another monster season and Barry rushed for 2,000 yards
Ya because Brett Favre won 3
Lawrence Taylor being the last defensive player to win it is justified. He was a game changer back then. Nobody has come close since. This could be the year a running back gets it. No qb has had a great season.
All the pictures look like they’ve survived in a apocalypse for a few years and had their picture taken for old times sake

Love how Peyton mannings forehead goes off the picture lol
BIG BRAIN
The real reason he wore the Riddell Revolution helmet is because no other helmet fit his big ahh forehead
I hate that the mvp award has become the qb reward
They do tend to be the most valuable players tho
If you have a good QB, you probably have a winning team and if you have a bad quarterback, you probably have a losing team.
QB is the most valuable position on every team.
I would hate to see a season where a punter made MVP that`s for sure.
I noticed Mark Mosley place kicker got it in 82, that must have been an exciting season.
How different is that from the whole history? Running backs and quarterbacks basically!
1984 had to be the craziest year ever.
Eric Dickerson breaks OJ Simpson's single-season rushing record with 2105 yds and still misses out on MVP.
It was of course the same season Marino throws for 48 TD's and over 5000 yds

Nice video man, I loved the design/layout. Think I only missed the team of each MVP, especially the old ones. Keep it up 😀
Thanks!

Barry Sanders. Go Lions!

Brady big time especially over Aaron Rogers!!!
You should’ve put the team each MVP played for.
If you know football then you don't need the team.
Maybe. But if you want your videos to get views, remember the details
I know football, but I was thinking the same thing. There are a few I was not as familiar with, especially since there were several years in which I was unable to watch the games.
Brady had to win 3 Super Bowls and still wait 3 more years for his first mvp.
Brady won those Super Bowls in a large part because of his defense and coaches. He was very good in the super bowl but not in the top 5 QB’s during the regular season, that’s why no MVP🤷🏼♂️
1982 MVP, greatest thing that's ever happened in football
Drew Brees
Saquan Barkley
Bret favre had 3 mvp in a row
Thanks captain
The goat Payton Manning! 4x MVP
Giving it to Elway in 1987 was the biggest joke ever.

I feelnso bad for joe burrow. Dude puttinf up average 360 a game like 2 int all season. Team and organization let him down. Again
I never knew a place kicker won the MVP!
yes, that was a shocker
In 1982 there was a player strike, causing a shorter 9 game season Mark Mosley went 20 for 21 playoffs and regular season included which was a league record
My favorite NFL player so far in 2024 is Saquon Barkley. As an Eagles fan, I give a hearty "thank you" to the New York Giants.
I think Saquon’s saving Sirianni’s life in Philly
Shocker
This year would be Joe Burrow, if only the team had a winning record
Favre and Sanders split the win in 97
OJ S unbeatable
Lawerence taylor still the best 🔥🔥🔥
Jim Brown #32

Lamar won the weakest MVP in decades last year lmao
It was Allen’s mvp idc that espn and biased voters created narratives to give Lamar mvp
Placekicker?!?! Wtf???
Matt Ryan should've gotten the mvp in 2017 too
Had time to put their expired date, why not put which team?
Marino !!
Marino !!!
Marino !!!!
Dan "The Man" Marino !!!! ❤️❤️😁😁🥰🥰
MY QUARTERBACK FOREVER !!!
Brady was busy winning rings, not MVPS
Agreed, people put too much on the MVP but the goal is to win the Lombardi. Brady did that and I don’t think Lamar Jackson ever will
@@dan-ws2sfwell, Lamar also doesn’t have to cheat, or play for a cheater, so there is that…

So you go yo John Adams high school in Ohio?
Lamar Jackson,John Elway, Lawrence Taylor, Deion Sanders, Michael Vick.
