- Come with me to the dermatoligist with me to get scalp injections to grow my edges back.
As you all know I got my first round of shots in February and this week I recieved round 2. The day before I washed my hair with a clarifying shampoo and I focused on my problem area. FYI I tried a new shampoo and I hated it, it made my hair feel like straw.
I put in mini braids. (My hair is so thin ya’ll) and good thing I did since we found a problem area. She didn’t say anything at my appt but I noticed as she was examining my scalp that she paused at that particular section. When I was putting DOO GRO on my scalp a few days later I felt around that area and felt the spot. I have been oiling it and I’m hoping it returns on its own and I REALLY hope alopecia isn’t roaring its ugly head again.
I wasn’t able to get footage of me getting the shots because she was just really bust. BTW she doesn’t know I have been documenting my journey, I’m too nervous to bring it up. (Fun fact: I have never told anyone that I know in person, including family, that I have this YT channel lol)
I got one injection on each side, last time I had to get 3 injections (one in the middle) so were getting better.
I have my next appt in 5 weeks!
Let me know if you like these quick updates in between my regular updates! 💕
I love her videos!!! Real hair journey 💁🏾♀️
Awwww thank you so much! 💕
I go see her too. I drive 4 hours from St Augustine, FL. She is the best. ❤
Omg, you go for your edges or your skin??? She’s the best
@@tamithecreator Both hair & skin. My hair came out from COVID. I was seeing Dr Edges in TX, then moved back to FL. My hair grew back but my edges were thin & growing back slowly. When I had COVID, I fainted & got 18 stitches in my face. Dr Lex is treating that scar as well. Hair & skin is looking a lot better.
Wow, if you make a four hour drive then my two from PBay ain't nothing. I'm a middle aged woman that's going through menopause (Hormones) and my hair is thinning really bad. I've been bleaching my hair for years and still had a full head of hair. June 1st I'm going to shave it all off like @tamithecreator and start going to Dr. Alexis for my edges to regrow. Once my hormones level out my edges will be filled in as well 🙏🏽🤞🏽. Thanks ladies for letting us know she's really as nice ☺️ as she comes across on UA-cam. I work with doctors and a lot of them have horrible bedside manners..
@@auzij4949 omg the stitches 😭, I’m glad you’re much better. I came across Dr edges & was willing to take a trip a flight to see her but I tried Dr Stephen’s first! Looks like I made the right choice. Did you go once or was it multiple rounds of prp? I appreciate the information you’re providing 💕
@tamithecreator thank you. Its multiple trips for the PRP. I recently did a job transfer to N Charleston SC and am currently in the process of moving. I'm going to fly or drive to continue seeing Dr Stephen's.
Can’t wait to see the results! 🙏🏾
Btw I purchased my products for my hair growth journey. As an older woman I hope I can still witness results like yours. I’ll keep you posted. 🤗
Omg you are amazing, good luck on your journey. I need to stay posted on everythingg. Im working on sending you a gift btw. I’m warning you now in case I randomly ask you for your email one day lol 💕
Oh I love, love Dr Alexis❤
she’s the best!
Me too ❤
The regrowth results are amazing in such a short time!❤
I go to her as well. Love her. My hair has grown so much
I see progress. How much are the scalp injections? If you don't mind sharing.
My first visit was $150 as a new member and all the visits after that are $75. The injections are included in that $75.
@@tamithecreator That's not bad at all. I need to go see a dermatologist as well.
I ❤ your dermatologist!
she’s the bestttttt
We have traction alopecia in the same areas and what’s crazier is from your big chop video, it looks very similar. Been wanting to cut all of my hair off to start over too. So over it. My coworkers have been recommending injections, but wasn’t sure where to go. You have inspired me to do the big chop though.
Aww go for it! Only big chop if you have to like in my case but do it! I have no regrets it’s the best thing I’ve ever done!
We can't do too much pulling our hair to the back away from our face, that's how it breaks off.
That’s exactly how mine broke off. Heavy box braids pushed to the back
Im absolutely terrified of injecting something intoy scalp. My brain😂
Rice water. And Kaleidoscope drops are pretty good for your edges back. Right now I love the journey good luck.
I forgot about kaleidoscope! I used it when it was younger to grow my eyebrows back 🥴
@@tamithecreator it’s really good for significant growth .I bought mines from Walmart for only 38 bucks. It came with two different miracle drops also shampoo and conditioner. I’m trying to see what happens after a year of mini braids. It’s cool to see your journey too.
@@amandasimpson34 thank you! I didn’t even realize they had so many products. Im always open to trying things. I’m going to check out that package! Thanks!
Loving the results! Does she inject all over or only on bald spots please?
only the areas of concern which for now, is only the front of my hair. I am starting to get alopecia in the middle of my head so we may have to inject there as well.
Girl you’re in Fl too?? ❤❤
yes ma’am 💕💕 I just did a quick binge of your page, you’re adorable
@@tamithecreator oh noo... Im about to upload good videos tomorrow lmao. and delete these bad old ones. u beat me to the punch 🤦🏽♀🥴.
Y’all I talk too much for these one minute UA-cam shorts 😂
You did great, ain’t have no problem understanding you. Good luck on your journey!
Thanks ♥️
I go to her too! I’m an hour north of her.😊
I love that we’re all taking road trips to see her lol
Yes. I’m overdue for a follow up!🫠🫠
Wow. I didnt know kenalog has so many uses. Thats the same med i have to give my dogs
😭 huh
I order for my dogs skin issues and it only $20 a val that contains 5 shots.
@srw817 yeah I love it. It works wonders 💯
Carot oil
Sis the oil and hair grease is causing the hair loss it clogged the follicles you can grow hair by scalp massage no oil needed keep the grease of the roots and scalp just apply mid length and done to retain length
Yes, you are correct but this oil is prescribed by my dermatoligist and its specific to alopecia and hairloss
👋🏽 How long had your edges been gone when you started the shots ?
10 years
Are they PRP injections?
No, they’re a steroid
Thanks for the info. I follow her too😍. I'm 2hr.N of her. I'll definitely make an appointment with.
@@tee95south6 she’s an absolute sweetheart so it’ll be worth the drive. In my first appt i paid $150 as a new client and she checked my skin, scalp & gave me a full routine for both. Come with your hair washed and ready for the injections because if you tell her you’re ready to start she’ll do them same day. I chose not to start right away because I wanted to see how the oil would do on its own
I did PRP with Dr. Alexis, and they helped grow my edges back.
@@tamithecreatorI apologize if you already stated, but what's the name of the dermatologist or her practice?
Do they take Medicaid
I'm sure you can find an office near you that does but unfortunately I don't think she accepts any kind of insurance as of now
Correct! She doesn’t take insurance. I used to go to her for my skin… After a year I got the email that she no longer accepted insured patients.
I have a question have u tried parasite /fungal cleanses bedore gettinf these shots?
@jessicat3997 could you please provide info on the products you used for the cleanse and how often!
I agree with the other person that commented, do you have more information??
I did this last yr
The shots?! How’d it go???
@@tamithecreator okay my scalp was so sore and I couldn't put my head down I got like 10 shorts
Whatttttt, I felt soreness with 3 shots I can’t imagine 10, do you see progress? Did you get the same ones I got?
What’s the name of the oil?
Is it expensive?
The shots? $75 a visit
@@tamithecreator that’s not bad! For just a visit and the shots? Thought it would be more. Thank you!
@@Dollyjmdolly the first visit is $150 & after that it’s $75. You pay $75 as a “co pay” and you can get a number of things done. She checked my skin, took care of a keloid I had & I got scalp injections for that $75. I don’t have insurance.
@@tamithecreator ohhh thank you! Well if she accepts my insurance then it won’t be so bad! You’re an angel thanks for responding!
This is crazy, i wish i had documented my journey, my hair line looked similar and temple balm worked for me. I was so rough on my edge in my 20s. Dint know if they still make it.
The Dr. Miracles one?
