Would you please help me with a question? I've been adjusting my recipe, think I was cooking them too long at lower temperature oil and getting them too hard, but what would egg do in this recipe?
I hope you'll come back to make more vids. Don't let Covid stop you. Be safe and blessed.
Spare of the moment Thanksgiving making hot water cornbread. Seeing yours reminded me of my great grandmother. Your video was the first and I didn’t trust the other ones just by looking at the thumbnail. She did use karo or molasses in hers too but she wouldn’t let anyone see that part.
Thanks for sharing content!
I love you Grandma
Man miss my MAMA! I can listen to her all day. I'm hooked. After a long day at work I'm coming to this page so I know everything is gonna be okay. All I need now is some old soap operas and plastic on my furniture.
My mom passed on Valentines Day... she would make this without measuring anything... every time I tried to do it.. it was either fried too fast and gooey in the middle or or fried to low and turned too pancakes... smh
Or get a woman who cooks like that lol
You gone be okay brother she’s always with you every step you take
They don't know anything about that life..That's Granny style....
I completely relate to how you feel I lost my mom 7yrs ago miss her every day 💜
This was nostalgic for me. Took me back to my granny's house in rural Virginia. My grandpa raised hogs and we ate everything from the rooter to the tooter. The cucumbers, onions, and tomatoes were on the side with fresh chickens from the yard. I could listen to you all day. Your voice is like a soothing salve and warm quilt. This is what we today, elders who want to share their knowledge, traditions, and gifts. Thank you, this was a blessing.
Grannie, I come from Zambia Africa and I can remember so well eating these with a green vegetable, and a broth made from the bones of the meat of the week. You have taken me back to my childhood. The difference is there was no electricity for hundreds of miles and everything was done over the open fire in the village.
Thank you
WELCOME TO THE USA! I hope you are doing well!!! What veg did you eat with this?
Chishue (spelling?) was the veggie and it was either spinach or cabbage cooked up with tomatoes and onions.
Love watching food being made over an open fire
❤👍👍
we may need tto do this in the USA soon! Crazy things are happening all over the world thanks to Agenda 2030.
You are absolutely precious. I am 71 years old and have lost my mother and of course grandmother's. I remember this cornbread but I have never made it. You have brought back beautiful memories of my childhood and my mother and grandmother cooking in the kitchen. I can't wait to try it. But if you want to adopt a 71 year old white man that loves to eat good food I'm available. You and your family please be safe in this horrible time in our world right now. Stay home and wear a mask. I know that many of us love you.
I'm 11 seconds in....and this wonderful lady has me MESMERIZED.....
When I was growing up I didn't have any grandparents... But I sure wish I had a grandma like you... Absolutely adorable and an absolute sweetheart

I feel bad for the future generations... I can't imagine these modern young ladies (with the BBLs and tattoos, shaking they body all over the internet) passing down wisdom like this.
Aww such a sweet lady. I'm a West Virginia momma from the blue Ridge mountains. My lady you're a joy. I miss my momma, grandma, my aunt's. They cooked us big Sunday dinners, we picked everything out of the garden and then canned our food, I miss that big porch on Sunday afternoon . Thank you sweetheart 💓
She’s a sweet little grandma that every kid wish they had.

Yum yum. My mom just uses onions corn meal and hot water. So fye.
Hey hun, I know this is old but could you please please explain? 🙏
@@peartreat she puts cornmeal in a bowl, cuts up some white onions, puts some hot water in it, scoops it out with a spoon and puts it in the grease, uses the spoon to make it into a circle. Fries it, I think she puts a little salt in it too. We use that for greens and bread for meals. It’s so good
