Macintosh, Cortlands the best pie apple! Some apples need the first frost to be good! She has her doubts! Congratulations! My Aunt had a JD520 with a bucket, we use to get in the bucket, and she would lift us up into the tree! We had a cider press!! You can't throw them apples, you'll bruse them and they won't store for the winter! Glad you're having fun!! Don't feed them to much, they'll get drunk and won't give any milk!

One of my favorite apples for cooking are the McIntosh - not too sweet, not too tart and just enough starch to stick to your ribs.

You guys have such a complete and diverse farms. I remember those types of farms as a kid.
Had the same reaction to discovering this channel. Grew up on a dairy farm that went under in the 90's along with a bunch others and it was farms like this i remember. Makes me sad so much of it was lost but incredibly happy to see these guys making it work.
@@wildfarmer1 Tjpse were the days. I grew up one of 13 kids, we had 500 cattle, 500 chickens, 100 hogs, huge garden apple trees, etc. You had to live modeltly and have no debt.
