  • Relax as I take a bike ride. As I ride along, I’ll be talking about bicycles. Eventually I stop at a picnic table and deface some baseball cards.
My videos are best enjoyed using headphones or earbuds.
The videos on my UA-cam channel portray some of the typical day-to-day activities that I do for relaxation. This video was produced with relaxation in mind and hopefully has some ASMR qualities. Too much stress is harmful to your well-being and in today’s fast-paced world, stress management is more important than ever, and so I hope this ASMR video acts as a stress reliever for those watching and a sleep-aid for anyone having a difficult time falling asleep.
If you enjoy my videos and feel like you get something of value from them, you might consider becoming an official “patron” of my channel over at my Patreon page. Your patronage makes it possible for me to obtain the technology and other resources needed for improving this channel. Of course, being a patron has its rewards. Check it out at the link below:

You are the kind of person that the youth of America should look up to. You are so filled with knowledge and stories that I could sit and listen to for hours. You are so wise and fun to listen to.

Regarding the e-bike: I personally don't have one, but my landlord does. He's 80 years old and he rides it every single day, because he has trouble walking. I think e-bikes are excellent for elderly people that aren't super fit anymore. He can still ride his bike, but he also gets a little help! :)

DonnaASMR I think the same, if it's the only way to keep on biking comfortably and safely then why not!

My mother-in-law who is not old has an e-bike. It gives her the same workout as a normal bike. She still pedals the same amount and gets the same excercise... you just go faster or/and can even set the amount of assistance you get. You can turn the help way down if you want so that you can control the amount of excercise you get. I say GO FOR it mister! :-D

My dad is 60 and after his knee couldn't keep with his marathons anymore, he turned into triathlons and finally to bike racing (as an aficionado). He climbs hills or mountains every weekend here in central Chile, and one time he crossed the Andes to Argentina in one of his bikes. I do see him in his 90 riding an e-bike if it is the only way to keep on biking. He loves it so much that he wrote a book on the greatest bikers who ever lived (like Mercks, Bartali, Coppi and Jacques Antequil)!

I think the seat of a moving bicycle is just one of the many places where the universe is slightly altered, like lakes on a foggy morning, roadside stops at night, antique stores, anywhere a vinyl record is playing, parks populated by ecstatic but chill mdma users, mossy paths in thick forests, library cafés, graveyards, docks on an overcast day, Spanish churches, and dusty attics to name a few.

never went to prison, because i was born and raised on a rural farm where i had to work all the time.....i go into prisons now as a volunteer of AA, and i have come to realize that if i would have come from different circumstances i perhaps would have ended up in prison. i have a lot of friends in prison who are good guys that if they could find a way to stay clean and sober when they get out of prison, they would never return. i did so many things under the influence of drugs and alcohol that i would never do clean and sober in my 27 years of recovery.

I live in Bama and up until last year I rode at least 100 mi per week on the Ladiga/Silver Comet Trail into Georgia. I'd average about 18-20mph on my carbon Giant OCR road bike. It's really fast but over the years it took a toll on my knees and now I can't ride as much. I've researched a lot on the e bikes and am seriously considering one. It will be great to have the extra challenge of peddling with the extra weight of the battery, then having the electric assist when I start to feel my knees getting weak, so I think they are a win/win. Love your vids!

Given I'm an 80s kid, but there were no Ben Franklin's in my hometown of Phoenix. However, there was one in the rural Colorado town where I spent my summers. Loved buying pea-shooters, action figures, and coloring books from there.

During 12:34, That's not a crane, that's a Great Blue Heron! There are many different species of herons in the United States, but there are only two crane species - one is critically endangered and both aren't a common sight on the East Coast (Sandhill Cranes are fairly common in Florida). Herons are very fun to watch, and they're typically not too timid of humans. Sometimes if you stay around long enough, you'll be able to see it catch fish or other prey. I understand your caution towards them, but when they stare you down they're just trying to decide if you're a threat or not. Don't know if anyone's correct you yet, but a lot of people make that misidentification!

E bikes are really good for biking on hilly roads and trails but to keep the health benefits I would probably try to reframe from constantly using the pedal assistance.
