    Thanks a million!! Just made Nei Payasam for Pooja at my house. It came perfectly. I followed Caverry Amma's excellent instructions to the T. Very clear and precise and the steps are not confusing at all. Thanks for keeping these recipes alive for the next generation.

    Namaskaram Maami!! Nice recipe. We made it and it tasted very well but we are not getting this dark brown colour. We are getting the colour of " vella paysam" . What could be the reason??

    Why is white sugar added ? Instead can we add jaggery itself for that quantity?

      White sugar will enhance the taste. However, you can also prepare using only jaggery

    But I noticed you were telling for cooking rice add 3.5 cups of water fir one cut rice. But in the description box you are saying 2.5
    Pl tell the correct qty of water to be used for jeeraga Chamba rice

    Made neipayasam yesterday night . Today ghee has separated from payasam. Where did I go wrong? Is there any method to rectify? Tried heating & stirring already

    When u say 3 cups jaggery for 1 cup of rice, do you mean 3 cups of liquid jaggery?

    Madam y do u add sugar in all your sweets. As it is jaggery has enough sweet by itself. I don’t think diabetic patients can eat this

    Thankyou mami. In Srirangam swamy neivedyan they prepare Aravanai prasadam. Do they add jeera in it as you did lastly? I just want to know whether for swami neivedyam we add jeera in this payasam?
