I still don't get where all that money went. $50 BILLION dollars. Where did it go? Even Madhoff couldn't spend all that money no matter how many yachts and apartments he owned.
He took a cut, and probably spent a few hundred million. But he never had the 50 billion to spend as he had to use the funds to pay off his investors when they withdrew their money. And because he was creating fake profits of around 20% a year, most of the money got dwindled down by the lucky few who withdrew their money with the fake profits included. He was just moving one investors money around to pay off another who withdrew, and losing even more than they put in because of the so called profits each year. The well ran dry and that's why at the end he was desperately looking for new investors as he had run out of money. It wasn't his spending habits that sunk the ship, it was his I'm a stock market genius who guarantees big returns that did. Crazy story.

It wasnt close to that number, $50 billion is what all the customers thought they had with the fake interest he told them they had. In retrospective there is something humorous about Bernie Madoff and his whole scheme and how all these greedy people, some of them super rich just fell for it as long as the invoices (or whatever) with higher than invested amounts kept coming in... i would love to have lived in this apartment precisely because of its atmosphere and "energy-memory"; reckless, daring, high-flying, not giving a flying f*, again funny, intelligent, but also decent as his sons were and lots of memories of a good and happy life in the higher stratosphere... the victims are being compensated and that is that.... and a lot of them were probably paying their taxes in the Caribbean islands if you know what I mean...

If these walls could talk? Well Ole Bernie seem to hold secrets pretty good for a long time. Blondie is so lame, she's trying to put some non sensible spin. Couldn't even make it half way through.
That guy's personality and maturity are still stuck on his sophomore year of college.
i wonder if Bernie paid his student loans?
So Bernie's greatest crime wasn't fraud it was interior decorating. Yuck!
👍🤣
Boy these last names are something. First the Madoffs and now the Cahns (Cons) owns this place SMDH.
Came here for this comment 😂 The names! Couldn’t make it up 😂😂😂
lmao, like i said earlier...the enemy runs this world...
👍
So the home goes from Madoff to the new owner, a Khan man. Fitting.
MADOFF'S story is inspirational! 😎
"Ghosts of Ponzi past" 😄
They act like this guy murdered and kept his victims bodies in the apartment. Not a guy who stole billions.
Yeah billions from millionaires ... so basically the apartment has good karma...
He probably hit the bodies somewhere else.
That's 'news' for you
You should see the results of his theft and the effect it had on the ordinary people who invested their entire life's savings.

Nothing special about it when the Madoffs lived there. Maybe that was on purpose. Not a fan of what the new people have done with it either.
