Pete and Bas are fire. I love them! They always put a big smile on my face. I lost my grandmother in 2011 at the age of 101 and I miss her dearly. Seniors will always have a special place in my heart. Seeing them having fun gives me life.
This is partly why I love them so much too. I'm 25. Pete and Bas are both older than my grandmother. Seeing these two having this much fun and making a name for themselves in a "young man's world" puts a huge smile on my face. I think Pete's teenage granddaughter introduced him to this genre in the first place. It's like me introducing my grandmother to Metal, and a couple of years later she's in a metal band making good music. I love it. Two guys who are young at heart, are having a ton of fun, and making good music in the process. I'd love the opportunity to just sit down and talk with them about what they're doing. I hope their grandchildren realise just how cool what they're doing really is. Also, my condolences for your late grandmother. I lost my great-grandmother a couple of years ago, also aged 101. She was perfectly lucid until the day she died. I will always cherish the time I spent with her, and all the stories she told me from her life, particularly her childhood and formative adult years. She used to tell me stories about meeting American soldiers when they were stationed near her home during WW2. She'd have been a similar age to what I am now when that happened, about 80 years ago now.

Which wasn't a super unusual thing for young men in London around that time. There's no evidence they were ever particularly high up, but they wouldn't have been people to fuck with either, and likely had pretty good contacts.
