Angelina won Norway's Got Talent when she was 8 yrs old after starting the competition at 7 yrs old. The youngest winner of any Got Talent show on the planet. She had to wait two years because you had to be 7 yrs old to enter. She started with a rendition of Billie Holiday's 'Gloomy Sunday' which she just infused with Billie's soul. She followed this by another Billie classic with a pitch perfect rendition of 'I'm a Fool to Want You' acapella. Her next performance was a beautiful rendition of 'Bang, Bang' by Sonny & Cher and performed most famously by Nancy Sinatra. She won the competition with what I consider her first Masterpiece performance of 'Summertime' by George Gershwin. Shortly after winning she was designated a National Treasure by the Norwegian people. ♥👣👸🏻
There is video of Angelina recorded by her mother Sarah Astar singing a couple of lines of "I Will Always Love You' by Whitney Houston when she was 18 months old. She started studying all the greats of Jazz soon after under the guidance of her Iranian Grandmother Mery Zamani a child prodigy in her own right as an artist and poet. English is Angelina's 3rd language behind Norwegian and Farsi along with Japanese and some German and perhaps more. She did this from 2 & 3 yrs old by scrolling thru UA-cam of all their most Iconic performance. Angelina doesn't just mimic these greats, she reinterprets them and then simply sings them the way they were meant to be sung. She makes them her own.
Angelina was begging her mother to go on "that Simon show" when she was 3 yrs old. encouraged to sing children songs, she would have none of that. She is well known worldwide in the industry. Her family and Angelina have been holding back turning down many of the biggest in the industry while she finishes school. Remember she just turned 17 January 10th. They finally signed with Republic Records about three years ago after getting a deal that gave her control of her artistic vision and has since released 2 originals, 'Million Miles' & '7th Heaven' plus a soundtrack for the New Movie "The Hating Game" which opens with her song 'Mercy' performed most notably by Duffy. Republic has labeled her their Highest Priority and assigned a team to her including Rob Christy a multiple Grammy Winner, often on the piano in many of her performances and a whole team of equally qualified professionals. She has worked with some of the best musicians in the industry and always get exactly what she wants. They call her the Boss and have immense respect for her. She is due to release her 1st album promised by Angelin to be soon.
She has been diligently perfecting her craft since winning Norway's Got Talent singing all over the world, Germany, Japan, Korea as well as TV appearances such as The View, Little Big Shots and most notably America's Got Talent where she premiered her Iconic Performance of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' which Queen gave her the rights to record her own version available on ITunes and Spotify included on her Album 'Magic' which she released on her own along with a Christmas Song collection. You are watching a 7-8 year old girl raised in Norway. Just pause to think about how she is fluent in English as well, not to mention that she probably spoke passable Farsi (her grandmother's language) and Japanese (her maternal grandfather's native language). Never mind the musical prodigy part of Angelina, she is a prodigy in every sense of the word!
What I found hilarious was the Gigantic-'Murican dolls given to her. Angelina, for all her tender years, is no doubt not interested in such things (she thinks about JAZZ!) - but she has a little sister that will REALLY enjoy the gifts.
Same age huge outdoor concert with back up singers. She's not singing after countless rehearsals to set camera angles so she is fantastic. Check out WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKE. ....then at 9 years old I PUT A SPELL ON YOU.....then last years at 16 her Elvis cover SUSPICIOUS MINDS and then her Adele cover EASY ON ME.

Hello from the frozen land of Alaska! I just subscribed and want to congratulate you on finding Angelina Jordan at last. I struck gold fining her in fall of 2019 and watch her every day since. She turned 17 on Jan 10th 2023 and is now around 6’ tall and a complete knock out!
Sh auditioned for NGT age 7 and won Age 8 in 2014. Was invited to AGT the Champions in 2019, but didn’t air until Jan 2020. She did her own arraignment of Bohemian Rhapsody and got the golden buzzer. She did not win due to not signing a contract commitment. A dance/acrobatic team won. Pick any song at any age and be amazed. Keep the box of tissues handy for many of her performances. I still get leaky eyes rewatching videos I’ve seen hundreds of times. Her tribute songs for family and other artists tear me up.
You have never heard anything like it, because there has never been another vocalist quite like Angelina. Among other talents she has a unmatched ability to relate the story in a song while evoking a deep emotional response in the listener. I listen to her many times a day, it's what gets me through these challenging times.

Sure there has been other like her ... recently aswell even ... Diana Ankudinova is atleast just as good at singing. And only 3 years betweenthem.
@@UltraSuperDuperFreak I could name off a list of young female vocalists with fantastic voices. Jackie Evancho, Amira Willighagen, many others. Diana is freakishly good. However no other singer has Angelina's ability to interpret and communicate the subtleties of jazz. She is beginning to create a new genre of music rooted in jazz, similar to how Shania Twain created her own genre rooted in country.

While it’s perfectly fine to see her America’s Got Talent performance next, my opinion is you should go back a little farther in time and watch her first audition on Norway’s Got Talent when she was 7, singing “Gloomy Sunday”. From there, you’re on your own!

When I first heard Angelina and watched everything I could find about her I came across her mom’s words about how she started.
She chose a song on iPad UA-cam and learned it during the week. On Sunday she gave a family concert. She started with jazz because her grandma Mery loves jazz and she heard it when she visited.
When she discovered AGT age three she asked her mom to sign her up but she was too young. Her mom signed her up for Norway’s Got Talent as soon as she was old enough. She competed age seven and the shows aired when she was eight. She won. She was half the size of anyone else in the competition. You can find her NGT songs on UA-cam in a compilation.
When she was on AGT she said she had been waiting for ten years to sing for Simon. This is from when she asked her to sign her up age 3 and performing on Champions age 13.

Now that's what I call a reaction from someone who absolutely understands what they just witnessed Charlie...1000's of reactors to this young lady most just looking for clicks and views without understanding the immense talent from an 8 year old. She has been studying Jazz, thanks to her Iranian Grandma, artist and poet Mery Zamani, since she was a toddler and has absorbed every bit of the greats of the past into that little tiny body. She creates her own arrangements of these songs, even at this age, and has performed this song multiple times, all different than the last one. She is a music genius/prodigy simple as that. She won Norway got Talent at the age of 8, right before this trip to the US. The first time we see her with a karaoke mike is as a baby of 18 months. The shocking thing is that no one in the family is a musician or singer. Grandma Meri was a child prodigy a painter and poet. She wrote and performed poetry age 6. So maybe that is why they knew how to bring up a prodigy.
