Of all the k-dramas I've watched the past 8 years, I can safely say Saya is the one character I find most alluring. He's so freaking beautiful and mysterious. He can turn either way and watching the character develop is so exciting for me. SJK did such a wonderful job portraying both Saya and Eunsom, not just the makeup and clothes/hairstyle. His demeanor, body language and micro expressions all reflect each twin's background and upbringing. I was not a fan till I watched him in this. Such an underrated show.
I was very disappointed waited so long the next season and see another actor. Lee jun Ki did a great job and perfect fighting scenes, but I waited Son Jun Ki to see Saya.

Only Saya can tear down Arthdal's core. It's Tealha and Tagon's fault for raising him in such a cruel way. He is twisted but his behavior and life threatening acts towards others makes me want to protect him and love him even more. Seriously he's hot when he does that. I think I'm mad. 💜
Saya is that one character you know you can't fully trust but also one you couldn't bear to hurt and it's so emotionally confusing. Great character, great actor, really nice series!

Arthdal Chronicles is simply one of the best Kdramas I've ever seen while saya is one of the most perfectly written characters. The actor who played him is extremely incredible to be able to play two opposite characters extremely well; to be able to play eunseom who is so good and saya is unpredictable evil is simply peak talent. Saya's character is complicated and that's why its so fun to watch. Its never interesting to watch someone who is completely evil or so good you want to throw ha I hope JongKi will find such a role in the future, something grey-ish cause are never black and white
I have to disagree. I LOVE good guys who you can depend on to try to do the RIGHT thing (even through difficult trying situations)I am sick of too many twisted, violent and Dark characters. There are too many of them out there. Honestly, it takes a STRONGER individual who consistently works for good or make righteous decisions than a wishy-washy overly dark, gray person or characters. Saya is complex and an interesting and physically attractive person though...
Saya is such a brilliantly fascinating messed up character. At first I felt so sorry for him, for his upbringing, the people around him, his confinement. And now I still do, just with an appropriate level of fear for the person he's become, that he has been moulded into.
i think LJK didnt rly capture the majestic vibes, saya has a feminen vibe (he was able to dress up as woman rly easily) which wasnt captured in the 2nd season at all :(

I dont think Saya did that, they are 2 sociopaths who want to rule over the world and justify their actions for their selfish reason. They cant love in the first place, they are just atracted to each other and maybe they end up killing each other for power because neither of them want to share it.

Saya isnt bad. Saya isnt Evil. Circumstances made him that way. I realised that very nicely watching the drama. Fear, being locked up for 20 years, getting abused by Taealha, not receiving love from anyone, waited for his father to recognise him, HE WANTED FREEDOM, he WANTED LOVE. He just became like that cuz of the situation. I feel so pity for him. Idk why tf Tanya likes so much about Eunseom that he doesnt even sees Saya and just uses him. *I want to love him. Yes! I totally agree with you! People keep comparing the twins saying Eunseom is the good one and Saya is evil and yada yada, but they completely ignore their upbringing. Saya was shaped into the person he is today. Had he been taught the same values as Eunseom he would have become someone entirely different :(

I dont know what show you saw but Saya is twisted and inmoral because of Taealha and Ta Gon, he doesnt want love he wants power. How any woman is suppose to love someone like that? He doesnt distinguish right from wrong so he is like a sociopath. Eun Seom is the oposite, he is empathic person who feels people pain even his enemies pain so it make sense for Ta Nya to love Eunsom since she is like him in so many ways. I hope Saya to change in season 2.
In this 1st season of Arthdal, Saya is one of the most interesting and sexiest roles (besides handsome-neanthals 😬😁). He has both dark bright side, smart yet naive, fast thinker and strategic, patient and careful but yet also many times careless. He is ruthless yet elegant. What really lies deep inside him are still unclear. His past with bitterness doesn't surpass Eunsom's, but he's lack of love like his foster father. That is actually what lead him as someone who is mean. I hope Saya later get his chances to be better one in next session of Arthdal. 💪💪😊.. also, besides shipping Tan Ya with Yan cha, my first ship is Saya with Tan Ya.. 🤪🥰🥰.. somehow I prefer someone who are considerably 'bad guys' rather than good guys 🤪🤪 Sorry Eunsom, though you'd be the winner chosen by the movie maker to be with Tan Ya after all. 😄😄

It's just that he spent his life locked up and seems to have a blockage in training but he retained the techniques. I'm pretty sure everyone got Loki vibes from him cause you simultaneously wanted to protect him, but also not let his insane schemes win. I tended to forget about Eunseom during all of Saya's scenes because he was so captivating.

Ele tem o lado escuro e o lado luz, como todos nós temos, sendo que nele as circunstâncias em que cresceu o fizeram agir como ele age, pois não conheceu carinho, amor, reconhecimento e empatia, mas sim a frieza e o poder da mulher que o criou e o ser ignorado pelo Tagon. Com a chegada de Tanya ele está descobrindo sentimentos que ele não conhece porque nunca teve como fazê-lo. Isso não significa que ele vai ficar bonzinho da noite pro dia mas sim que o personagem pode evoluir. Estou louca pela 2 temporada!

if you'd ask me eunseom or saya i would say eunseom but if you'd ask me on a deeper level i would say that saya only turned out to be this way bcs ragaz was carrying him that day, bcs tagon found him and decided to keep him that day. if that didnt happen he would prolly be like eunseom not only with the looks but also personality wise. eunseom was the lucky one being able to grow up with asa hon/the wahan tribe. he was lucky that the wahan tribe accepted him (even if it wasnt 100%) while saya had no choice but to hide. he had no choice but to turn cruel, cause how else was he supposed to shield himself from all the hurt he had to go through? how else was he supposed to survive in that tower only knowing 3?people. he thought tagon was his dad when he clearly was not... saya is just a product in the end and it hurts to say this but i dont think he will get a happy ending at the end of the day. he will destroy himself and he will realize it but continue to do so bcs he doesnt rly know any other way and the jealousy is really just killing him from the inside. the fact that eunseom was able to be free, smth he longed for while being locked up, and the fact that eunseom is able to do the right thing... in reality saya is still kind of locked up
i don't know why but think that eunseom too would have been like saya if he would have gone through that the kind of treatment saya went through because they are twins and twins have a tendency to be like eachother......
I think you're right. When Euseom is in Arthdal in episodes 5 and 6, there is a moment when he starts to look like Saya. This corrupt world begins to get to him and he starts to show a darker & cunning side. The cruel world of Arthdal changes everyone but Saya & Euseom are twins so whoever ended up in this place would have ended up the same way, unfortunately.
Tanya and Saya fit together, I've always felt that they had a very different mature understanding than the little innocent obsessive love showed between Tanya and Saya's twin brother
They really don't. Saya is evil and willing to kill innocent people to gain power. If you think Tanya is OK with that you are sorely mistaken. She only cares for him because he is Eunseom's brother but even she can see his wicked ways.
@@Cubannerd we haven't seen enough of the series to come to such strong conclusions. There was barely anything shown to suggest anyone's true nature or motivation. Also, Saya isn't conniving. He has been locked up in a tower and abused for his whole life. He wants out and wants revenge and that's pretty much what any character in his position would want and do. He hasn't shown any specific bloodlust apart from the path he chose to craft his freedom. So please don't frame him as some psychotic serial killer who's not in his right mind. The three characters are all learning as they are growing. Each one of them have had their own flaws.

I have always ignored this but now out of boredom I saw this and now I'm mad like how dumb i was to ignore such a MASTERPIECE my mind is blown away by the historic classic i have no words.....
Song joong ki characters are always remarkable. Whenever he is doing the character is stuck in my mind and its iconic. Just because he choosing good scripts and he approaches the character very good.

Eu sou totalmente fascinada pelo personagem chamado Saya. Ele tem o lado escuro e o lado luz, como todos nós temos, sendo que nele as circunstâncias em que cresceu o fizeram agir como ele age, pois não conheceu carinho, amor, reconhecimento e empatia, mas sim a frieza e o poder da mulher que o criou e o ser ignorado pelo Tagon. Com a chegada de Tanya ele está descobrindo sentimentos que ele não conhece porque nunca teve como fazê-lo. Isso não significa que ele vai ficar bonzinho da noite pro dia mas sim que o personagem pode evoluir. Estou louca pela 2 temporada!

if you'd ask me eunseom or saya i would say eunseom but if you'd ask me on a deeper level i would say that saya only turned out to be this way bcs ragaz was carrying him that day, bcs tagon found him and decided to keep him that day. if that didnt happen he would prolly be like eunseom not only with the looks but also personality wise. eunseom was the lucky one being able to grow up with asa hon/the wahan tribe. he was lucky that the wahan tribe accepted him (even if it wasnt 100%) while saya had no choice but to hide. he had no choice but to turn cruel, cause how else was he supposed to shield himself from all the hurt he had to go through? how else was he supposed to survive in that tower only knowing 3?people. he thought tagon was his dad when he clearly was not... saya is just a product in the end and it hurts to say this but i dont think he will get a happy ending at the end of the day. he will destroy himself and he will realize it but continue to do so bcs he doesnt rly know any other way and the jealousy is really just killing him from the inside. the fact that eunseom was able to be free, smth he longed for while being locked up, and the fact that eunseom is able to do the right thing... in reality saya is still kind of locked up
i don't know why but think that eunseom too would have been like saya if he would have gone through that the kind of treatment saya went through because they are twins and twins have a tendency to be like eachother......

When Euseom is in Arthdal in episodes 5 and 6, there is a moment when he starts to look like Saya. This corrupt world begins to get to him and he starts to show a darker & cunning side.
The cruel world of Arthdal changes everyone but Saya & Euseom are twins so whoever ended up in this place would have ended up the same way, unfortunately.

They really don't. Saya is evil and willing to kill innocent people to gain power. If you think Tanya is OK with that you are sorely mistaken. She only cares for him because he is Eunseom's brother but even she can see his wicked ways.

@@Cubannerd we haven't seen enough of the series to come to such strong conclusions. There was barely anything shown to suggest anyone's true nature or motivation. Also, Saya isn't conniving. He has been locked up in a tower and abused for his whole life. He wants out and wants revenge and that's pretty much what any character in his position would want and do. He hasn't shown any specific bloodlust apart from the path he chose to craft his freedom. So please don't frame him as some psychotic serial killer who's not in his right mind. The three characters are all learning as they are growing. Each one of them have had their own flaws.
