Hi Mia, Covid really has made all of this difficult. We do really miss family, but we understand that the situation is temporary and we will see them all again soon. Our daughter has started nursery here and loves it. She is learning so much and has made many new friends. Even in our short time here we have quickly settled and value our life in comparison to the UK. It's just a shame we can't share it more with family at the moment.

It's been through most Australians abiding by the requests from the Govt. and Health Authorities that has kept us relatively COVID free. I was concerned that your wife wasn't wearing a mask while walking through Doha Airport and had it pulled down when at Brisbane Airport. Please can you all be more attentive to these rules. You're coming from the UK where a highly contagious virulent strain is rife and are trying to keep it from spreading here. Apart from that concern, I do hope that your stay in quarantine goes quickly and you finally get to enjoy what you came here for. Unfortunately, it's not a great time to relocate but look at the bright side as your coming to a Country that has handled the pandemic rather well. Always remember that the real beauty of this country is outside of the big cities. Stay safe and well and I hope everything works out great for you three. 🍻🇦🇺

Hey Ross, what sort of documents did you have to show on departure leaving the UK to prove you’re a permanent resident? Was the 189 grant letter enough? Thanks 😊
Hi. Were you permanently employed when you were applying to Australia? If so, how did you go about telling telling your boss because the application does ask for contact details of your employer.
If you could estimate my friend , how much money would you say you’ll need altogether to move to Australia . This including everything . Visas , housing and just everything . Just need an estimate . Any help will be very useful mate . Good luck with the future !
Hey, I found your channel because we are planning to do the exact same thing with a Baby but from germany. Hubby is australian so we kinda go home. Anyways I have some questions about the travel with a toddler. Did you need a plane suited car seat or sit her on the normal seats? Would you do at again with her bering that age or do you reckon waiting till she would be older would have been easier
We didn't need a car seat. Because of the flight caps, there are plenty of seats available into Australia so kids can lay out. Also car seats from Europe aren't allowed to be used in Australia as there are different safety standards so it's a bit of a waste
thanks mr johnston for sharing your story, its motivational. So a simple question, on a scale of 10, how hard was it to process everything till your first step in Brisbane?
Hi! Why did you fly with Qatar? No other options? Cheapest? We are also flying with them soon and will also stop over in Doha, but for 12 hours! Hope my 3 yo can play in the play area for a while!
Qatar where the only ones flying at the time and also we just about managed to get a normal price flight as they hadn't announced the caps yet. We were really lucky

If you could estimate my friend , how much money would you say you’ll need altogether to move to Australia . This including everything . Visas , housing and just everything . Just need an estimate . Any help will be very useful mate . Good luck with the future !
We gave a costs video
Hi, I am trying to register with AITSL. They want a supervised teaching practise statement. What are those and how do I get one? Thanks, Natasha
Hi Natasha, DM me on our instagram and it will be easier for me to help you
Do you have to pay for hotel when in cworintin 14 days or is part of ur flight prices
We had to pay, however there is no more quarantine for double vaccinated travellers
Love Australia and love living here. #fromnepal
Yay
Gday mate welcome to Gods country the best country on earth but don’t tell anyone our little secret lol
Ha ha. Thanks bud, yeah don't want too many people trying to sneak in lol
Also car seats from Europe aren't allowed to be used in Australia as there are different safety standards so it's a bit of a waste
hy thanks for explanation am trying to move in from north Iraq wiv my wife and 2 kids.
Subscribed and binge watched all your videos.
You said you used a Visa agent. Can you tell me which one you used and would you recommend them?
Aww thanks. True Blue Migration offer a free visa assessment. Give them a try and tell them That Johnston Life sent you
@@ThatJohnstonLife Thanks mate for taking time to reply.
Will look at True Blue.
Who did you use? :)
Hi would like to know how much did it cost you for the qurantine and how did you managed to booked for the hotel.?? Thanks :)

With our experience of getting here at least a 9
Welcome mate
thanks bro
How u all getting on mate
We're getting on great. Recently bought a house and moved so new video on that soon!
With the current situation in UK, I would imagine the number of people migrating to Australia would be increasing.
The situation there is definitely making some rethink their situations
my husband has been talking about moving to Australia for years now but we not sure how to go about it and we've never been - have you guys previously visited or did you just go for the warm weather :)
We had previously visited and the warm weather was definitely a drawing factor!
Hi Jhonston. Thanks for the informative video. May i know what are the chances of getting 189 with 85 score?
That's a really good score. Give it a try
Dear Johnston family for your daughters try reading Miles Franklin's :Childhood at Brindabella. Enjoy!
I'll check it out! Thanks Peter
I have a company in the Northern Territory who can sponsor.
Do I need to have vaccine and proof to get in to Oz.
I would appreciate your help greatly. Trevor. Dublin.
Hi Trevor, at the moment you need a PR visa or citizenship to enter Australia and will then need to go through 2 weeks quarantine at your own expense. Not sure about what your company can do to overcome that, you'll have to speak directly to them
Thank You for coming back to me.
I understand about Visa but did you need to have vaccine before entering Australia.
@@trevormasterson8035 not at the moment
Hi! Really enjoyed your video so thank you for posting. I am a UK primary teacher and wondered if you had any advice for teachers looking to emigrate to Aus? My husband is a doctor so i'm hoping to get a partner visa through him. Are there any locations in Aus where there is more teaching work? How would you describe the job market? I've been teaching for over 6 years and looking to move in two years time. Thanks, Rebecca
Thanks for watching. I don't really know of any areas that have more work than others, but there are definitely jobs available in Brisbane. I imagine you should be able to find work here, after all, that's why teaching is on the skills list
Hello 🤚, hope you're doing great,I really want your encouragement on my life on how to live without my late wife who died of cancer ♋ disease
Please tell me what benefits can i claim in Australia as biritish family and medical or schools are free for children or not and can i claim children benefits in Australia if we have biritish nationality please reply me 😊
It's really depends on your visa and your working situation. Pretty much as you start you are entitled to nothing apart from reciprocal emergency health care as a UK citizen
I did the move 54 years ago.
we were originally from WALES , cymru am byth , benn here now tad over 50 yrs ...... i adore your littlun , when you can affotd a holiday . come to tassie , border laws allowing of course , drop by for a cuppa of a bevvy and juice for aurora . if you do we'll work out how to shoot you my addy and number etc
Aww thanks, we'd love to visit Tassie soon
Welcome to Australia
Thanks
Good luck
Welcome to Australia!! I can't wait to get out of here. I hope you have wonderful experience unfortunately not my cup of tea
Oh no. Wish you all the best
Couldn't you do some relief teaching work. I work for an agency in Vic and there always seems to be work
Thanks Danielle, I managed to find work straight away
You're welcome
Just watched dodge Woodal dam he's your twin man
G'day all and it's good to hear another Johnston is here.
Not boasting but you just doubled the intelligence of Aussie....er, can you spell, I can't.
But I'm sad you went Q/land....if you had joined me in WA we might have taken over the Country.
When you take us over - please toss all our incompetent government into the ocean. You’ll have my vote forever.😜
ha ha, Australia domination lol
will do.. lol
Australia needs more teachers and engineers and less journalists.
Agreed with that
Do you know if they are still offering/accepting that type of visa now? I've been told I can get a temporary skilled shortage visa through a company/job but your visa sounds better as you are not committed to one job if you hate it! Would much prefer that
Yes, the visa is still available, although due to covid the points required is far higher than usual. Hopefully it will go back to normal soon
@@ThatJohnstonLife ah thanks for replying, I'm an Occupational Therapist and have been told I would be able to get an exemption from the government to travel to Australia, was this something you also had to get? Hope you guys have settled in well!
Welcome! so annoying that now its so expsenive to get home and the flights are getting canclled alot of peoplea re paying around 15k for one seat in economy.. thats how despreate we are
I know, the situation is terrible, something needs to be done
Think this was more about flight to Australia

My exhusband Woudnt sit with me and the children [3] we we flew from Manchester He booked us to the Back of the Plane Him to the front. I should have known it was all going to go tits up over 29years

He calls his child it.
Only when it annoys me
@@ThatJohnstonLife 😂
Didn't your wife have to wear a mask at the airport?!!!
She has a medical condition which makes it hard for her to do so sometimes. Having to rush through the airport was making it difficult for her to breathe, you could even hear it in my voice and there's nothing wrong with me, but thanks for pointing it out
Ok Welcome to Australia first. Now you need an AFL team to follow. There is only one team to follow and that is Richmond. End of story. The rest of Australia will call you "Banana Benders" because you are from Queensland.I'm in Victoria and people from NSW call us Mexicans because we live south of the border. The Murray River is the border between NSW and Victoria. It's all good fun.You will be called Poms but again it is all good fun. Have a laugh tell them you have a job at the Banana factory and your job is to bend the Bananas because bananas grow straight on the palm. Good luck and stay safe.Best wishes
Literally taking notes on all these slang names
@@ThatJohnstonLife you need an nrl team since you live in Queensland, no one in Queensland cares about AFL
I want to migrate from Melbourne to Sydney get away from Chairman Dan my dads family are all teachers too
Do it
I'm sorry.
Welcome to Australia- so sorry you’ve had to deal with our incompetent government- let it decide who you vote for if you become a citizen. 🇦🇺❤️
one day..
Learn to speak English with a twangy Australian accent, mate. That'd be cool.
I practice at least 3 hours a day in the mirror
@@ThatJohnstonLife Seriously? Wow... Impressive. But that must be difficult to do. 😂😂😂
