Great video and wonderful woodland behind you. Cheers from Norway! Subscribed.
Always enjoy your matter of fact teaching John. And your knowledge .
Excellent introduction to axes. Thank you John.
What a great video. Breath of fresh air compared to so many I've watched on YT. Subbed!
music at the start is so loud you need yo turn down volume, but the actual video is so soft you can't hear it at full volume.
Very good. Thank you very much
Nice video..Informative..
very cool
Those Gränsfors Bruk axes are awesome.
Oh yes they are
I have one and I really likes it. I would like to get a small hachet to cut down some hazels, but I'm looking for a billhook too... I don't know which one to choose.
Are you autistic
Or just jealous that Sweden makes far superior axes than your American shit
😂
Pathetic
Can of spam Spam is American dipshit!
NICE
Additional info please? Name the axe types?
Noticed some of your axes have a metal wedge and others do not ,is there a big difference?
Not really I use metal ones because they stay in place longer
Say Heah M8, Yup, Thanx You, a very educated video. Yeah, I sharpened my Hultafors Bruks 17 Agdor Hatchet so I can process wood and yet to do some camp chores. I did it to this hatchet, I can also carry it on person in my axe holster. A fella makes them on UA-cam, just search Axe Holster. I also have a Holster for my Gransfors Bruks Small Forest Axe. But I like the compact size if I carry it on person. But yet the 1 3/4 lbs head is just perfect for me. The best part is I bought mine on closeout and it came spot on. Yeah, I had to sharpen it, but it didn't take much to get it were I liked it to be. Also my Kodiak Gearsling has a place on its side to carry either one. In cold weather Ofcource we bring my full Axe which is my Oxencopf Plus, it has a steel sleeve for over strikes and a RotBand, a steel plate screwed into the haft to make it alot stronger. I made a harness to carry it. But my Fav. Axe on longer trips and even in cold weather is my 24" Council Wood Craft Pack Axe it's made out of 5160 and holds a terrific edge retention. I really enjoy your channel Thanx a Google.,,. p
faultroy - Maybe I like my kind of tools, I think my 2Hawks Double Bit Hatchet or my 24" Council Wood Craft Pack Axe with the heavy duty sheath and sling, I also have a Gransfors Bruks Small Forest Axe and a 17" Hultafors Bruks Agdor Hatchet. My friend, I use them. They are not for show but to use. Even on my Lite Carry my Mora 2000 and the Mora Hatchet and my Bacho Laplander are used. I don't think you know me. None of my Axes are Chrome Plated. I use my tools. I trade currency so I could bring my work with me. I downloaded my Trade Platform in my Note Book and my Phone. So yeah, I also use my Axes at work just like you, heh heh heh.,,. p
Paul'ie 4X
I didn't know about axe slings
I'm gonna buy one dude
Chicken BUTT Yeah, just search Axe Holster on UA-cam and you'll find Eugene.,,. p
My axe has the blade on the left edge...not centred...it's not broken, that's how it was made...is there a special use ?
Hewing & Broadaxe do that.
Carving and crafting. They are also useful for making points on a stake as you can cut almost flush to the wood giving you much better ability to taper said point.
I wanted to see British axe's! To hell with those multicultural boutique axe's!
My sentiments also got a lovely Brades English Pattern 2.5lb that would eat most of those.
Anyone else hear the Predator making noise in the intro?!
👍💯❤🤙
Your intro length is 10% of the video. That'd be equal to a 12 minute opening crawl in Star Wars.
Good information !
Star Wars knows nothing of a good axe!
All those on the table would be considered hatchets wouldn’t they? Don’t axes have long handles
Hatchets are also axe 😆
A hatchet is a hand axe
maybe iconic for a woodsman but idk wth he was thinking when he threw women in there.
