My family is Hakka from Dabu, particularly 三河坝 from my mom's side. From my dad's, also Hakka, his family migrated to Taiwan. Later, separately, both came to Brazil during the 1960s where they'd met and wed and where I was born. At home, since we only speak Hakka, you can figure out how strong is our Hakka root, all the more after we visited Meizhou years ago to visit my mom's older sister. 😀

三河坝 is such a beautiful place. I've only stayed there for 2 hours and I'll never be able to forget it.
