I've often thought that what Trump says to a lot of Republican politicians is: "You give me your absolute loyalty and in return I won't leak your disgusting personal secrets to the press." I think he has a lot of dirt on a lot of politicians and maybe even some tv hosts like those on FOX.
Not only does he offer no loyalty, whoever is close to it when stuff goes sideways is who he throws under the bus. Look at the number of close associates who have gone to jail for him, the careers ruined, and the massive number of hard working people who did work for him who he decided to just not pay; including waitresses at his club, tradesmen during renovations, and so many lawyers.
