This video is great (even for your high standards) because it includes a charismatic story, specifics on business models, technology and nitty details as well as the big ideas and theories behind it all. I really appreciate that you included what Ryan believes in and explain concepts like schlep blindness through his story. You tie it to society, current events, and trends (automation). You even manage to dispell some misconceptions about the industry. That is a lot in 15 minutes. Great job!
@@JohnCooganPlus, Your channel is a big inspiration. I started creating my own content as a side project. looking forward to seeing more videos from you!

Mr.Coogan , I’m stunt by the quality of your video … Like wow , thank you for your work . I had to stop the video and acknowledge how good this documentary is … 👌
That's the plan, just very small improvements every week adding up to big gains in the long term. My old videos are terrible by comparison, but there wasn't really one big leap forward, just small adjustments.

Yeah it makes so much sense once you think about it. Why compete with all the other great developers when you could immediately be the best engineer in the entire industry from day one?
@@ProxyProof haha it’s not quite there yet. You might get “bed man smile.” Could definitely layer in metadata from the actors, character names, and subtitles though.
@@JohnCooganPlus I think Diam is saying that you use to be able to buy containers for 1500-2000 usd. Now, when supply is high (they cannot get rid of them) one would expect the price for a container to be lower, but on the contrary they are more expensive at 4000-5000 usd. If this is the case it is quite weird.. And something I can't explain either.
@@ProxyProof hmm yeah, probably due to the location. Empty containers might be expensive because they are all stuck on trucks in LA, but needed in other markets.
@@JohnCooganPlus This made me think - should a video have the same title over the lifetime of the video? For instance I could imagine that launching a video with a somewhat click bait title could be good to get traction and the attention of the algorithm, but those tend to not age well, and perhaps it would make sense to change the title once the initial rush is over to something more timeless. I am not great at these, but some off the cuff ideas: * supply chain paradox: why supply is low but the ships are full. * why the shipping industry isn't working, and what might fix it * How FlexPort is trying to get you your Christmas present Okay.. I am not a huge fan of these. Perhaps a bit too click bait.. I actually think focusing on the core of the video might be better. You tell a great story about FlexPort and Ryan. It isn't easy to tell someone in a title if they don't know them or you already. Marketing is hard. To give a quick criticism of the current title "How Ryan Peterson is healing supply chains with FlexPort" - I think it lacks a bit of umpf. It feels a little like it is designed by committee. It has Ryan's name. It has FlexPort. It has "supply chain". And it describes the plot. That's a lot. When you pack all that information in a title it doesn't leave a lot of room for flair. "FlexPort: Can technology fix shipping?" "Why your Christmas present is stuck at sea" Haha I'll stop now..
It so funny how the audience ansorbs so few about the video's topic. At least the audience that comment. Almost nobody says anything about the video; all the comments are empty and generic compliments about how great this guy is and how awesome it is the way he uses to make videos, and stuff like that. It is sad to see how numb people are to the information they consume.
Just checking in on this one - seems even with Peterson and Flexports assistance the situation keeps on getting worse. Imagine that... Since Ryan has all the answers.. should have been sorted by now? Imagine being a shareholder in this nonsense
Well exactly, I don't see how this has fixed anything at all or see what this person did other than improve the ability to track shipments which wasn't the problem in the first place. This channel is just feeding peoples' delusions about 'progress'.
