  • Process I go through to turn old rusty parts into shiny parts for my tractor restoration. Starting with sand blasting, primer, and paint. As well as zinc plating parts.

great vid. I have the same compressor. I ended up buying the air refrigerator from Quincy to remove the moisture.

thanks for sharing your setup with us, I've often thought how you would go about blasting at home, most video's people have expensive blast booths iy's refereshing to see someone in the real worls doing it.
    many thanks

If you were to keep the bolts unpainted would you still use zinc or nickel plating? I've been following along as a restore my 62' 4000 as well. I really like the look of the bolts not painted, but wasn't sure if the nickel would be worth the trouble if its more durable from corrosion.

Nickel would probably be better for corrosion but I don't know how difficult or costly it would be compared to zinc. Caswell Plating has nickel plating kits but I do not own one.
