The problem for me is not dying and losing gear, the problem is dying in less than 200ms without having the chance to react, and then losing gear is just a plus to add to the frustration.
My biggest fear is when I'm looting, i feel like I'm haunted whenever I'm looting, tho I never get killed by it it's still uncanny. They should make looting without the UI covering the whole screen or maybe make it faster or make the player immune for split seconds

@ You know one big step that helped me , specific to the extraction shooter genre was to surround myself with people with whom already passed the Fear of losing gear threshold. Once I started queuing up with my friends who’ve been around, it’s been more fun, confident and overall enjoyable. This in turn granted me even better Solo runs. I too do this in life because of law enforcement career, if we fear confrontation we can’t put bad guy in jail effectively. Hesitation will kill, that how I learned. I always try to be positive and objectively handle my work.
@@JacobGZW pretty accurate. Once you’ve experienced the maximum difficulty in a game repeatedly, your hands will no longer shake, your thoughts will become clearer in stressful situations, and you’ll get used to it. At that point, you’ll discover your true skill level and your real playstyle.

I think you explained this perfectly, when I first started extraction shooters I was always so fixated on making sure I didn’t spend “too much” on kits.
In SEA server, it's more like "fear of losing all your stuff to a random Chinese cheater". I swear my squad traveled to Zero Dam Easy, equipped to the teeth with purple gear to do mission, until we saw the Chinese with the Recruit sniper set, who kept jumping and no scope each of us. Imagine losing all of your hard work to a group of cheaters who didn't even give you a chance to fight properly. If I failed against normal high gear player, at least I know it's my own fault.
@@Bim2403 i agree with this one. It's nice bringing your best gear and having the best and fun firefight with your life. But when the cheat gods come for you, it's annoying and sucks my enjoyment from the game.
Delta force is, for now, a fun balance. It sucks losing gear, but on the other hand you get a lot free stuff and making money back isnt to hard. Gear tickets are nice to use when you are on a downward spiral of losses.
I wish they could do a priority looting on your kills like they do with locked rooms. Tired of random teammates hoovering up my stuff before i can even see what it was.
Exactly, I end up taking everything before it loads then remove some items... Harder when the backpack is almost full. Once someone saved me by killing a guy right next to me I didn't see, I told them over the mic "your kill, your loot" the guy was sooo surprised! I wish that was the norm

THE BEST way of defeating hear fear is tell yourself “I am going to lose this kit so I may as well have fun. I CANNOT keep this kit” going into raid, and repeatedly throughout. Then making it out with the kit is always a pleasant surprise, and losing the gear doesn’t have the sting because you are already accepting it

I started playing tarkov alone one year ago and it made me realized my gear fear it's not just because of afraid losing money. It's because it's so hard making money while cheaters are around all the time (especially in Asain server). And I carry this thought into Delta Force. Even though I win most of my battles against other players in DF, I still struggle to hit queue from the to time.
I’ve finally found a way to make money thanks to your shotgun video. I was hemorrhaging money with randoms just sprinting in and trying to be a decent teammate ending up out of position and immediately someone goes down then you’re screwed. You can’t have gear fear if you don’t have gear;)
ive played tarkov an extreme amount when i first got it in 2018 till 2022. i never missed a single wipe. it taught me ALOT about extraction shooters and how best to maneuverer in them. the tactics from EFT carried over to this game in someway. tho arguably solo is far much more harder to do compared to EFT. i would like to say that they should boost the overall health of everyone from 100 lets say to 200 give or take. so it decreases the TTK considerably. but it then just becomes balancing other guns so it doesn't feel like it takes forever to kill. an extraction mode like this is difficult to balance in MANY circumstances as. 1: it doesn't have realistic ballistic simulations, 2: cant 1 tap someone in the head as there is no physicalized zones on the head like nap. head eyes, head jaw etc etc the game also boosts loot depending on difficulty of map aka easy - normal - hard etc when that alone divides playerbase and ofc when playing hard the more likely you are to come across cheaters. not that you dont come across them in easy or normal but they are everywhere still on barekesh & space city. every team i fill into they say they have done all their quests its just those 2 maps left which they refuse to touch cause too many cheaters
I play on an Asian server and there are too many Chinese cheaters compared to other servers and I don't dare to bring expensive armor, expensive ammo, expensive weapons. I'm all for fair gameplay.
It's normal to have Chinese cheaters, considering that hacking is one of the more efficient ways of Chinese government gaining information. That's in fact one of the reasons why biggest space exploring stations are either shut down or broken.
I played a bit off of tarkov and tried to do go on a budget everytime. Some wipes ended with incredible weapons that i never used because i feared to lose it... Until i was fed up with that and started going in with the better gear i could and incredibly, i survived a lot more with the high end gear then just the budget stuff.
Experience is very important on extraction, this is why you actually want to take a fight rather than always running around. Obvious there are some exceptions but that's the only way you know how to outplay players, learn about the operators, map knowledge, etc
Gear fear is a main problem with videogames. In general. Because it's so easy to find cheaters or simply be bad at them. This game is unfair. Simply put. You might be coming with full golden gear but your enemy teams carry red bullets and snipers waiting for you. And this happens in many more games, even non-extraction ones, like GTA Online. It also doesn't help this game has a forced trio matchmaking. Solo is quite impossible. People don't want to make this feel like a job. But it IS a job. Harder missions requiring you to shoot above x meters, putting this on X, bringing X to exfil. This is all boring and only the reward feels rewarding (at least for me). And once someone with better luck and better gear, destroys your 3 hours of work, you dont want to play anymore, understandably. This is why COD DMZ failed as a game. EXTRACTION SHOOTERS ARE NOT FOR CASUALS. No matter what they say. No matter what Phixate or ONIC says. Extraction Shooters, in general, are made for you to waste time and grind. They have their own niche fanbase for people who love this! One thing I do hate is that this operations mode has specific time limited missions. This is also a problem with Warfare. People who love warfare should NOT be forced to play Operations because of FOMO and viceversa. But that's how it is right now. I hope PVE extraction comes soon, so everyone can have a fun time regardless.
Ngl as a someone who played dmz from first days to delta force realease i can tell that i was scared of dying with everything and its more harder to do 1v3 here cause ammunition color matters allot
So much that you can beat the lobby with long barrel M870 and blue slugs (and a couple of purple ones for yellow and red armour). 2 blue slugs to the purple armour up to 40 meters and there you have it.
honestly the point where i lost gear fear, was having a good raid with higher level gear that i would have 100% died in otherwise, it just so happened that i looted a guy with full purple after doing a little bit of leg meta, and as i was putting on the purple helmet he had i got headshot by a sniper and i can only assume they cheaped out and had blue bullets, now im not going to spend ever single bit of money i got just to have gold bullets and armor every game, but i wont hesitate using those armors that take up 12 slots in my stash.
Bruh, just take a Glock 18 with purple ammo or SiNister's M870 loadout,cap yellow chest rig and large backpack and either loot outskirts of the map or attack people. TF are you mumbling about?
Funny true story: For me when the alpha was playable I just wanted to keep all the stuff that they give you to keep it in my stash box because I don't want to lose it but now slowly slowly I am starting to care a little bit less, and actually today I was also thinking that "Hey it doesn't matter some you win some you lose" go for it and have fun. Don't just ran in and don't care play smart but enjoy.(no guts no glory but think smart then do). Nice video and good tip.
Everyone needs to figure out how to proceed with fear in mind. My solution is to use low-level gear when I feel not confident. The key is find some way to reach your goal, such as to make 10M total.
I run recruit ticket and well i manage to extract it really feel satisfaction. But running own gear make you chickend out, anxiety and lost of focus. As long you bring purple ammo in you safebox 😂
I think what helped me get over gear fear was the ease of being able to do zero to hero runs fairly easily. It's like, you go in with nothing. So the fear of dying with good gear was pretty much non-existent. Plenty enough of those runs, having gone good AND bad in many different games made me realize going in fully geared wasn't much different. If I die, it was because I did something stupid or was caught slacking. If I don't, doesn't really matter what I brought in then, huh?
i just started this game i have a bout 25-30hs of operations, and i only played zero dam easy so far and i always kill between 1 and 2 full squads, i don't mind losing the gear but it hurts to lose what i looted on the run :( feeling like you failed the mission sucks more than losing the gear, but i just go back in and i forget, everything feels free, i don't use more than blue stuff so it's okay, i hugely agree with the "it's just pixels", great video man! hardcore types of game modes is really a mental test for gamers, we're all used to be GODS on the arena, getting a nice slap once in a while and having real consequences really make you think "was i ever good? do i just remember the good? not having consequences made me play more aggressively and win more?" it's all questions! i believe everyone should try hardcore type games where you only have one life whether is an rpg a shooter or whatever
On the other hand, for us sub level 10 rookies, going in solo with a handgun, and a few meds and pulling 500k+ feels pretty good. And dying with that loadout is free. When I get the black site level 1, Ill bring gear in.
I don't know what my problem is but everytime I bring lvl 5 gear in I end up dying right away or 1st fight. But I can go in with lvl 3 gear and kill 2 teams and find a bunch of loot
The way i got rid of my fear: sold everything and jumped into Factory nonstop on tarkov with whatever i could afford. After one wipe of straight factory runs, you lose the fear, or you find the games not for you. For this game Pick the smallest map and do the same for a week or so after you find a good money farm. Should do roughly the same effect.
Ever since Arena Breakout Infinite came out I started playing it and it really affected my gameplay. "I'm scared of dying and don't want to share my loot" I started camping and it's not fun at all. I know I have to get rid of it to get better at the game. I started small like bringing mid tear gear value and started engaging in fights. I know it's quite frustrating when you die but I always keep in mind that "It's okay! I just need experience and just get gud". Not gonna lie I started losing my gear fear but it's still there till now but lessen. Start bringing low tier gear value then mid and don't be afraid losing as it will also let you grow.
Ive gotten over it by understanding that deaths will happen. It is literally part of the game. And understanding that it is a game. Sure i could avoid every player like the plague and slowly creeps around every map. But as fun as sifting through a lab coat pocket for that 2 mil key card to shove into your case the most memerable moments i have is looting a body that has a bunch of loot on it. And the only way to have those memerable moments is to put gear on the line.
You are already half way there for the pure fact that you have 15 million. That’s only going to keep going up and the game will keep the same etc. think about the fact you could be running some absolute juicer kits and having a fun time and if you lose money, you for sure no how to make it back etc
In a way you're right obviously but the real prob of this fear (i mean for me) is cheater . even if it's 10 - 20% of the games i play. That just disgust me. In normal mode + ranked it's quite impossible to not get a cheater (im black hawk lvl 55 not newbie here) , even it's wallhack; sound perception, noclip ghost. I mean if they wanted to do anti cheat, they'll just do it like vanguard with kernel access. But no, not even hardware ban idk it's f2p. they can just re create an account. Sry for my low skills in english.
The worst thing that I carried over from COD and BR is ego challenging enemy when they get shot but in here you need a lot of information of the team in order to win
In this game I don't have gear fear, I want to upgrade my hideout/buy cases (i started a couple weeks late) and good bullets cost so much money lmao. Been rocking the scar with blue since it will put down purple fast enough. Kept all my purple m80 from quests and use it, But even after extracting for 1.5M going into the next raid rebuying ammo and it being 200-300k feels so bad lol.
This game is made so that you buy the premium for the 3x2 safe container, that way even if you sie you get to keep something, otherwise the punishment is bad
Gear Fear is awsemo, it saved my ass multiple times when i was solo again groups. Don't push if you know enemy is stronger than you, this tip saving me in 80% of battles in operations.
In Asia, the gear fear mostly comes from the cheaters. There's so many cheaters in Asia, blatant ones even. I believe there's so many because I get teamed up with one, and fight with one in the same match. I am now "rich" because of loot I don't deserve, and when I tried to infil with better gear, I survive in less than 30 seconds because these cheaters want my gear. They ignore you if you have bad gear, and thus survive more. And that's what the extraction shooter devolved into our region: Zero Dam - Easy fest. YES, the cheaters GO HERE. Nobody is queueing Layali Grove, Brakkesh and Space City at all...
True but if you look at it in a different way and just see making the money as a part of the game and objective, then you are not really wasting your time. That is the beauty of extraction shooters, make money and then spend it to see if you can make more etc
I have a whole different problem. I don't care about gear. I get bummed when I play solo, kill 2 and die to 3rd. Or kill several teams then die to last team or something like that. I don't care about money. I care that I got SO close to being awesome and falling short 😂
Great advice. I just played twice and didn't even make it to extract. Luckly the game started me off with money and stuff but im losing my primary weapon every time which is dumb. I still don't even know where to go on map. Can't figure out what meds to use and lots of other stuff. Either way this was great advice and content, thanks. PS only game i ever played was gta v and i wasn't a fighter there.
I hate losing ammo more than I do losing gear/weapons. It is UNNECESSARILY expensive for anything above tier 3. It honestly makes me hate the mode in general. Same goes for the crafting times, I don't want to wait 6 hours for a mid tier 3x optic.

The MOST important thing you are forgetting is "Gameplay" for some gear fear is part of their ideal game and for others gear fear just sucks !! We all have personal preferences for gaming and while gear fear may suit some it most certainly will no suit all. A prime example is gray zone warfare, The gear fear is disliked by so many because they just do not want to play that way and no amount of praising gear fear is going to convince anyone about how good it is !!!!
If you have a gear fear,use SiNister's M870 loadout along with cap and large backpack and use looting strategy from Hudsz to farm money. If this doesn't help,quit the game.
that is the good part going with almost nothing. for me they should limited with how much stuff people get into the game not you have to get a lot of stuff to get in. and the solo mode is gonna be really good for that specific reason you gonna start just with a pistol kill some guards and make some bucks from players and loot.
In some games its so bad that when u get knocked and knock the player ur team m8 go loots first and then comes revives or takes hes time looting and another team runs over him 😅
the only gear fear is when casuals have to play against sweats which always results in guaranteed lost fight i think if people went into the game knowing they were facing people of equal skill losing wouldnt hurt at all. Extraction mode needs a working ranked system, casuals will just drop the gamemode once they realise they are just walking pinatas for the regular sweaty gamer. Theres a reason why competitive games like csgo,dota and LoL have ranked brackets. Its just dumb that delta force operations does not.
The biggest problem is being on easy and constsntly being ruined by dudes in gold/purple gear with gold ammo literally running 3 man kill squads.. and they literally somehow find you, hunt you down and murderize you.
My rage and gear fear is based on a time that i lose. I can spent about 5 hours of playing to get good loot and stuff and then get killed by camper with UZI XD And i understand that i just lost my life time to give my loot to another guy XD

Easy to figure out the code, to work out each number, instead of looking for the pattern, just look at the pattern and if it starts with dots, just count the dots and that will be the number, if it starts with - then count the - and add 5, that will be the number

Its a lose of time and money play with good gear, 90% of the time a cheater kill me when i play with yellow gear. If i build right now yellow and purple ammo and i go 1 single game on space city normal i die from a cheater 100%.
Bro is contributing to the problem by using purple ammo in easy mode dam. Easy dam specifically really needs a gear value limit with a limit to the tier of ammo you can bring. It's not fair to the actual new players on that map. Edit: AND GOLD ARMOUR?! As someone with over 1000 hours in solo Tarkov, I've found my first 20 hours of solo Delta Force to be almost unbearable. Almost every aspect of this game is a detriment to solo players. I almost always find myself encountering 3 man teams, but it is hard to avoid them due to the much smaller maps than Tarkov. I find myself in a gunfight often in order to get anything of decent value. Due to the TTK and helmets protecting the ENTIRE head It's impossible to use 3 bullets to kill a 3 man team, you cant fight them head on because they will just out-damage you. Due to operator abilities, they know that you are completely alone, your exact location, and if you try and fight them using guerilla tactics they have infinite healing. Let's say you manage to kill one, they just get revived, maybe you need to heal, well it's a lot harder to hide since you cant heal and go prone. I could go on and on about every way this game is against solo players and it's getting to the point where it has ruined the game for me.
@@lakehelton1337 the ttk in this game when using purple bullets for most weapons in 0.2, with blue it normally 0.2 to 0.4 depending on armor. As a solo, you can 1 v 3 people and have do fine but it’s not as easy as some other extraction games
Hes talking about Gray Zone Warfare which is another game I used to cover and still do when there is hefty updates. Its more a PvE extraction, Milsim style game
I don't see this game getting as popular as DMZ, not even close. It's too serious, too much at stake if you die, and quite honestly where is the fun factor coming from here? Might as well join the armed forces IRL if you're looking for realism.
I mean DMZ can't be that popular considering Activision cut it first year, The game shouldn't even really be compared to DMZ because the game isn't a proper extraction shooter, its open world Warzone basically.
Its alot easier to not HAVE GEAR FEAR when you have 10m in reserve....but when you have nothing and lose anything even remotely good it makes the game grim. You are just cannon fodder for the SWEATS.

They instant headshot you or using VEKTOR it kills in half second (if they have purple or gold ammo type) so it is normal

Great video again, mate. It is so true this game is designed to make you feel that way, and it does a great job. But, as you stated, it’s just a game.
THE BEST way of defeating hear fear is tell yourself “I am going to lose this kit so I may as well have fun. I CANNOT keep this kit” going into raid, and repeatedly throughout. Then making it out with the kit is always a pleasant surprise, and losing the gear doesn’t have the sting because you are already accepting it
I think the best way to getting rid of gear fear is just say to yourself "if not for the gear what is the money for?"

As an aging gamer my reactions aren't what they were... And limited time means I get caught out too often on Extraction - it's still very exciting though!
Play on outskirts of the map and don't care about your reactions.
I started playing tarkov alone one year ago and it made me realized my gear fear it's not just because of afraid losing money. It's because it's so hard making money while cheaters are around all the time (especially in Asain server). And I carry this thought into Delta Force. Even though I win most of my battles against other players in DF, I still struggle to hit queue from the to time.
I’ve finally found a way to make money thanks to your shotgun video. I was hemorrhaging money with randoms just sprinting in and trying to be a decent teammate ending up out of position and immediately someone goes down then you’re screwed. You can’t have gear fear if you don’t have gear;)
Fun fact: you can earn a lot of money if you play on the outskirts of the map
ive played tarkov an extreme amount when i first got it in 2018 till 2022. i never missed a single wipe. it taught me ALOT about extraction shooters and how best to maneuverer in them. the tactics from EFT carried over to this game in someway. tho arguably solo is far much more harder to do compared to EFT.
i would like to say that they should boost the overall health of everyone from 100 lets say to 200 give or take. so it decreases the TTK considerably. but it then just becomes balancing other guns so it doesn't feel like it takes forever to kill.
an extraction mode like this is difficult to balance in MANY circumstances as. 1: it doesn't have realistic ballistic simulations, 2: cant 1 tap someone in the head as there is no physicalized zones on the head like nap. head eyes, head jaw etc etc
the game also boosts loot depending on difficulty of map aka easy - normal - hard etc when that alone divides playerbase and ofc when playing hard the more likely you are to come across cheaters. not that you dont come across them in easy or normal but they are everywhere still on barekesh & space city. every team i fill into they say they have done all their quests its just those 2 maps left which they refuse to touch cause too many cheaters
I play on an Asian server and there are too many Chinese cheaters compared to other servers and I don't dare to bring expensive armor, expensive ammo, expensive weapons.
I'm all for fair gameplay.
Do us Australians get connected to these Asian servers? I feel like we get aimbotting and wall hacked heaps
There is no "Gear Fear" If you just run with a gun kek.
It's normal to have Chinese cheaters, considering that hacking is one of the more efficient ways of Chinese government gaining information. That's in fact one of the reasons why biggest space exploring stations are either shut down or broken.

I played a bit off of tarkov and tried to do go on a budget everytime. Some wipes ended with incredible weapons that i never used because i feared to lose it...
Until i was fed up with that and started going in with the better gear i could and incredibly, i survived a lot more with the high end gear then just the budget stuff.

Experience is very important on extraction, this is why you actually want to take a fight rather than always running around.
Obvious there are some exceptions but that's the only way you know how to outplay players, learn about the operators, map knowledge, etc

Gear fear is a main problem with videogames. In general.
Because it's so easy to find cheaters or simply be bad at them.
This game is unfair. Simply put. You might be coming with full golden gear but your enemy teams carry red bullets and snipers waiting for you. And this happens in many more games, even non-extraction ones, like GTA Online.
It also doesn't help this game has a forced trio matchmaking. Solo is quite impossible.
People don't want to make this feel like a job. But it IS a job. Harder missions requiring you to shoot above x meters, putting this on X, bringing X to exfil. This is all boring and only the reward feels rewarding (at least for me).
And once someone with better luck and better gear, destroys your 3 hours of work, you dont want to play anymore, understandably.
This is why COD DMZ failed as a game. EXTRACTION SHOOTERS ARE NOT FOR CASUALS.
No matter what they say. No matter what Phixate or ONIC says.
Extraction Shooters, in general, are made for you to waste time and grind.
They have their own niche fanbase for people who love this!
One thing I do hate is that this operations mode has specific time limited missions. This is also a problem with Warfare. People who love warfare should NOT be forced to play Operations because of FOMO and viceversa. But that's how it is right now.
I hope PVE extraction comes soon, so everyone can have a fun time regardless.

Ngl as a someone who played dmz from first days to delta force realease i can tell that i was scared of dying with everything and its more harder to do 1v3 here cause ammunition color matters allot
So much that you can beat the lobby with long barrel M870 and blue slugs (and a couple of purple ones for yellow and red armour). 2 blue slugs to the purple armour up to 40 meters and there you have it.
honestly the point where i lost gear fear, was having a good raid with higher level gear that i would have 100% died in otherwise, it just so happened that i looted a guy with full purple after doing a little bit of leg meta, and as i was putting on the purple helmet he had i got headshot by a sniper and i can only assume they cheaped out and had blue bullets, now im not going to spend ever single bit of money i got just to have gold bullets and armor every game, but i wont hesitate using those armors that take up 12 slots in my stash.
Bruh, just take a Glock 18 with purple ammo or SiNister's M870 loadout,cap yellow chest rig and large backpack and either loot outskirts of the map or attack people. TF are you mumbling about?
Funny true story: For me when the alpha was playable I just wanted to keep all the stuff that they give you to keep it in my stash box because I don't want to lose it but now slowly slowly I am starting to care a little bit less, and actually today I was also thinking that "Hey it doesn't matter some you win some you lose" go for it and have fun. Don't just ran in and don't care play smart but enjoy.(no guts no glory but think smart then do). Nice video and good tip.

Everyone needs to figure out how to proceed with fear in mind. My solution is to use low-level gear when I feel not confident. The key is find some way to reach your goal, such as to make 10M total.
I run recruit ticket and well i manage to extract it really feel satisfaction. But running own gear make you chickend out, anxiety and lost of focus. As long you bring purple ammo in you safebox 😂

I think what helped me get over gear fear was the ease of being able to do zero to hero runs fairly easily. It's like, you go in with nothing. So the fear of dying with good gear was pretty much non-existent. Plenty enough of those runs, having gone good AND bad in many different games made me realize going in fully geared wasn't much different. If I die, it was because I did something stupid or was caught slacking. If I don't, doesn't really matter what I brought in then, huh?
i just started this game i have a bout 25-30hs of operations, and i only played zero dam easy so far and i always kill between 1 and 2 full squads, i don't mind losing the gear but it hurts to lose what i looted on the run :( feeling like you failed the mission sucks more than losing the gear, but i just go back in and i forget, everything feels free, i don't use more than blue stuff so it's okay, i hugely agree with the "it's just pixels", great video man!
hardcore types of game modes is really a mental test for gamers, we're all used to be GODS on the arena, getting a nice slap once in a while and having real consequences really make you think "was i ever good? do i just remember the good? not having consequences made me play more aggressively and win more?" it's all questions! i believe everyone should try hardcore type games where you only have one life whether is an rpg a shooter or whatever

On the other hand, for us sub level 10 rookies, going in solo with a handgun, and a few meds and pulling 500k+ feels pretty good. And dying with that loadout is free. When I get the black site level 1, Ill bring gear in.

I don't know what my problem is but everytime I bring lvl 5 gear in I end up dying right away or 1st fight. But I can go in with lvl 3 gear and kill 2 teams and find a bunch of loot
Same. I think the mental of our self. Use cheap gear you wont care much and makes you fight harder. Bring best gear you so burden of losing the gear.
The way i got rid of my fear: sold everything and jumped into Factory nonstop on tarkov with whatever i could afford. After one wipe of straight factory runs, you lose the fear, or you find the games not for you. For this game Pick the smallest map and do the same for a week or so after you find a good money farm. Should do roughly the same effect.
I have 9k hours in Dayz there is no such thing as gear fear left in my body

Ever since Arena Breakout Infinite came out I started playing it and it really affected my gameplay. "I'm scared of dying and don't want to share my loot" I started camping and it's not fun at all. I know I have to get rid of it to get better at the game. I started small like bringing mid tear gear value and started engaging in fights. I know it's quite frustrating when you die but I always keep in mind that "It's okay! I just need experience and just get gud". Not gonna lie I started losing my gear fear but it's still there till now but lessen. Start bringing low tier gear value then mid and don't be afraid losing as it will also let you grow.

Ive gotten over it by understanding that deaths will happen. It is literally part of the game. And understanding that it is a game. Sure i could avoid every player like the plague and slowly creeps around every map. But as fun as sifting through a lab coat pocket for that 2 mil key card to shove into your case the most memerable moments i have is looting a body that has a bunch of loot on it. And the only way to have those memerable moments is to put gear on the line.

You are already half way there for the pure fact that you have 15 million. That’s only going to keep going up and the game will keep the same etc. think about the fact you could be running some absolute juicer kits and having a fun time and if you lose money, you for sure no how to make it back etc

In a way you're right obviously but the real prob of this fear (i mean for me) is cheater . even if it's 10 - 20% of the games i play. That just disgust me. In normal mode + ranked it's quite impossible to not get a cheater (im black hawk lvl 55 not newbie here) , even it's wallhack; sound perception, noclip ghost. I mean if they wanted to do anti cheat, they'll just do it like vanguard with kernel access. But no, not even hardware ban idk it's f2p. they can just re create an account. Sry for my low skills in english.
Gear frear is real. I literally spawn in every game with absolutely nothing. I feel even if i died, all i lost is my time.
The worst thing that I carried over from COD and BR is ego challenging enemy when they get shot but in here you need a lot of information of the team in order to win

In this game I don't have gear fear, I want to upgrade my hideout/buy cases (i started a couple weeks late) and good bullets cost so much money lmao. Been rocking the scar with blue since it will put down purple fast enough. Kept all my purple m80 from quests and use it, But even after extracting for 1.5M going into the next raid rebuying ammo and it being 200-300k feels so bad lol.
This game is made so that you buy the premium for the 3x2 safe container, that way even if you sie you get to keep something, otherwise the punishment is bad
Gear Fear is awsemo, it saved my ass multiple times when i was solo again groups. Don't push if you know enemy is stronger than you, this tip saving me in 80% of battles in operations.
In Asia, the gear fear mostly comes from the cheaters. There's so many cheaters in Asia, blatant ones even. I believe there's so many because I get teamed up with one, and fight with one in the same match. I am now "rich" because of loot I don't deserve, and when I tried to infil with better gear, I survive in less than 30 seconds because these cheaters want my gear. They ignore you if you have bad gear, and thus survive more.
And that's what the extraction shooter devolved into our region: Zero Dam - Easy fest. YES, the cheaters GO HERE. Nobody is queueing Layali Grove, Brakkesh and Space City at all...
I think the number one fear besides what you're losing in game, is the time spent acquiring things. Time is the most valuable commodity.
True but if you look at it in a different way and just see making the money as a part of the game and objective, then you are not really wasting your time. That is the beauty of extraction shooters, make money and then spend it to see if you can make more etc
I have a whole different problem. I don't care about gear. I get bummed when I play solo, kill 2 and die to 3rd. Or kill several teams then die to last team or something like that. I don't care about money. I care that I got SO close to being awesome and falling short 😂
i have gear fear but only because i dont use mike and am a solo its a gamble wheather my tm8 will us mikes and stick together or be solo
I would be a soo teammate. I would rather play teams as a solo than let someone loot my kill.
Having a random squad won't hurt you, try to stick with them or make them stick to you
Great advice. I just played twice and didn't even make it to extract. Luckly the game started me off with money and stuff but im losing my primary weapon every time which is dumb. I still don't even know where to go on map. Can't figure out what meds to use and lots of other stuff. Either way this was great advice and content, thanks. PS only game i ever played was gta v and i wasn't a fighter there.

I hate losing ammo more than I do losing gear/weapons.
It is UNNECESSARILY expensive for anything above tier 3.
It honestly makes me hate the mode in general. Same goes for the crafting times, I don't want to wait 6 hours for a mid tier 3x optic.

The MOST important thing you are forgetting is "Gameplay" for some gear fear is part of their ideal game and for others gear fear just sucks !! We all have personal preferences for gaming and while gear fear may suit some it most certainly will no suit all. A prime example is gray zone warfare, The gear fear is disliked by so many because they just do not want to play that way and no amount of praising gear fear is going to convince anyone about how good it is !!!!

If you have a gear fear,use SiNister's M870 loadout along with cap and large backpack and use looting strategy from Hudsz to farm money. If this doesn't help,quit the game.

and the solo mode is gonna be really good for that specific reason you gonna start just with a pistol kill some guards and make some bucks from players and loot.

the only gear fear is when casuals have to play against sweats which always results in guaranteed lost fight i think if people went into the game knowing they were facing people of equal skill losing wouldnt hurt at all. Extraction mode needs a working ranked system, casuals will just drop the gamemode once they realise they are just walking pinatas for the regular sweaty gamer. Theres a reason why competitive games like csgo,dota and LoL have ranked brackets.

Operation mode is actually easy. But the mandlebrick makes it more intense 😅.

The biggest problem is being on easy and constsntly being ruined by dudes in gold/purple gear with gold ammo literally running 3 man kill squads.. and they literally somehow find you, hunt you down and murderize you.

It's not really gear fear... it's just that if you go into normal, you get immediately rolled by the teams spawning next to you.

Easy to figure out the code, to work out each number, instead of looking for the pattern, just look at the pattern and if it starts with dots, just count the dots and that will be the number, if it starts with - then count the - and add 5, that will be the number

Bro is contributing to the problem by using purple ammo in easy mode dam. Easy dam specifically really needs a gear value limit with a limit to the tier of ammo you can bring. It's not fair to the actual new players on that map. Edit: AND GOLD ARMOUR?! Edit2: The actual advice in the video in fantastic don't get me wrong but I had to put it out there in relation to easy dam.

@ yeah man no worries, I love using the expensive gear, it gives me personally more confidence and outplay potential, it helps protect you more and you can make good money to pay for your expensive needs hehe.
As someone with over 1000 hours in solo Tarkov, I've found my first 20 hours of solo Delta Force to be almost unbearable. Almost every aspect of this game is a detriment to solo players. I almost always find myself encountering 3 man teams, but it is hard to avoid them due to the much smaller maps than Tarkov. I find myself in a gunfight often in order to get anything of decent value. Due to the TTK and helmets protecting the ENTIRE head It's impossible to use 3 bullets to kill a 3 man team, you cant fight them head on because they will just out-damage you. Due to operator abilities, they know that you are completely alone, your exact location, and if you try and fight them using guerilla tactics they have infinite healing. Let's say you manage to kill one, they just get revived, maybe you need to heal, well it's a lot harder to hide since you cant heal and go prone. I could go on and on about every way this game is against solo players and it's getting to the point where it has ruined the game for me.
@@lakehelton1337 the ttk in this game when using purple bullets for most weapons in 0.2, with blue it normally 0.2 to 0.4 depending on armor. As a solo, you can 1 v 3 people and have do fine but it’s not as easy as some other extraction games

Hes talking about Gray Zone Warfare which is another game I used to cover and still do when there is hefty updates. Its more a PvE extraction, Milsim style game
I don't see this game getting as popular as DMZ, not even close. It's too serious, too much at stake if you die, and quite honestly where is the fun factor coming from here? Might as well join the armed forces IRL if you're looking for realism.
I mean DMZ can't be that popular considering Activision cut it first year, The game shouldn't even really be compared to DMZ because the game isn't a proper extraction shooter, its open world Warzone basically.
