Your vintage bag is definitely unique, the duyp strap does look good on it. I am sure you will figure it out & do what you think is best for you. It is a journey we are all on, what our initial hope and intentions are may change over time. This is life! I think during & after covid, life was different for all, good and bad, we all lived through it. Throw in all of life's unexpected challenges too. I lost both my parents in under 3 years. After each loss I found peace in growing my handbag collection. But more recently I have been trying to down size and make better choices in what I buy. I loved this video, I love your honesty. I love your channel name. Having hope in our lives is everything 🙏 ❤️

I can totally relate. I tried to live a minimalist lifestyle a few years ago. It is still an ideal lifestyle for me, but it was a no-go then. I just love fashion and beauty so much so exceptions had to be made. Plus my husband wasn’t having it. Lol!

Wow the vintage bag is gorgeous with the braided pipping ,it’s so unique and different ,I would consider using a different strap to compliment the bag ,you could have the strap shortened and spray it to stop shedding I can totally relate to the elephant 🐘 in the room and I am on the same journey as you and have struggled for years with wanting to buy but I also love to de clutter and not have a lot of stuff around me as it gives me extreme anxiety I love your channel name and it fits you perfectly ❤ Hugs ❤

Could you take the strap to a cobbler to have him cut the braided strap to your preferred length?? Also maybe he has a suggestion to deal with your raw strap. ✌️
Thanks for that suggestion - I definitely need a leather expert to figure this out. I don’t know how they’d cut it with it being braided, but I’m sure there is something creative they could do. Now, just need to find one 😊
I wish I knew a trick to help with the wrinkles on your Speedy. I tried everything with my Monogram Speedy 25-stuffing it, leaving it out in the heat on hot days hoping the heat would relax the wrinkles-but nothing worked for me. Hopefully, someone else has some useful tips!
Have you thought about reaching out to the company you purchased your bag from to see if they could shorten the strap? I think that may be worth a try.
I am going to try and find a local cobbler first because I do want to use it; I took it out today for carpool and used the DUYP strap. I’m going to use this bag one way or another if I have to hot glue some fringes on an extra strap 😂 Thank you so much for watching. I find it so unusual that the wrinkles are in this bag; i thought that a common storage method for the speedy was to actually fold it up I will never do that seeing how wrinkled it is now.
