Then we become accustomed to western cultures and we are then hybrid of the two or three cultures.
After experiencing all we choose to get close to the most familiar and closest memories. This brings the real personal feelings and one becomes reconnected and feel belong to.
Motherland gradually improves and family needs subsides. Parents passed away. By that time it’s too late and old age sinks in. Whenever we visit the homeland we feel that we are totally out of place. But one still feels to visit and reconnect. Then after we come back to the foreign land, the new-old home.
You see there no selfishness!! It is sacrificing self to meet financial demands while perusing excellence.
Western societies are much welcoming and genuine. They welcome us and help us to fit in.
Sorry! These were my real life experiences of past 50 years away from homeland. But I will always love the homeland and our culture. Thanks for reading my comments. God bless you🙏❤️🕉
